Who Are Our Neighbors? A Discussion led by CRIS
In response to the congregation’s conversation at our annual meeting about how we might be a safe place for all in our community, you are warmly invited to be part of this learning opportunity. …. Join us in person for a critical conversation with Teresa Gibson of Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS) as we explore who our immigrant and refugee neighbors are, how they arrive in the United States, the contributions they make in Central Ohio, the urgent challenges many families face amid policy changes, and how our community can respond with compassion and support.

Speaker Bio: Teresa Gibson is the Community Engagement Coordinator at CRIS. She trains and supports faith-based and community groups who volunteer to befriend newcomers in the Columbus area. She has been in this role since late 2021. She has worked with refugees and volunteers for over thirty years.
