How do you know when your spirit is starving?
1. Your👄 talks like a fool. Your words repeat the words of the devil... full of fear doubt and unbelief.
2. Your eyes 👀 see disaster, hopelessness, and trouble all around.
3. Your 🦶 lead you to the path of the ungodly and you sit in the seat of sinners and those that scorn and criticize the body of Christ... which is the church of the living God.
4. Your 🧠 is polluted with immoral and impure thoughts and images that oppose the Word of God.
5. Your👂 are listening to people whose lifestyles and opinions are contrary to the Word of God.
6. Your ❤️ no longer leads you to pray, and get in the Word and go to church and fellowship with real believers.
Stop and take inventory of your soul right now and if you have any of these symptoms your spirt man is starving. Go somewhere immediately where you can be fed the life giving Word of God. You are malnourished and in danger of spiritual death. Just do it!

October is Pastor’s Appreciation Month and I would be amis not to honor our Pastor J. B. Watts (aka Papa Watts). So I post this in loving memory and honor of our Papa Watts who has been shouting on the streets of Glory for 20 years now.
Born Jan 8th 1911 and went to Heaven at age 95 on March 27th, 2006. This portrait was hand-painted from a snapshot taken from the last sermon he ever preached during our Pastor Appreciation service in Oct of 2000. The picture was taken as he proclaimed and transferred THE BLESSING upon our ministry.
Pastor J. B. Watts was one of the greatest men of God I ever knew....and in my eyes the greatest (along with my dad, and my hubby). I don't know where we would be today if God had not put this man of God in our lives. He introduced us to the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and the 9 gifts of the Spirit and lead us into a dimension of the Holy Spirit that we had never known or even heard of as a little Baptist girl and Methodist boy. We have personally witnessed and known of by personal testimonies, countless miracles God wrought by this loving and humble servant. He gave us wisdom and godly direction for every crisis we ever faced in our personal lives and the life of our ministry.. Even after becoming pastors ourselves he remained our Pastor and encouraged us when we wanted to give up and quit. I would go running to my Papa like a little girl jumping into the loving arms of her daddy and crying on his shoulder just to here him say "Everything is going to be alright child, God is with you, he always has been, he always will be." ....and everything was alright just because he said so because he always spoke by faith and he always heard from God.
We were only two of his many spiritual kids. Our precious friends Larry and Pat Atchley were 2 more of his kids. We were truly spiritual brothers and sisters in the Lord. They are both in Glory with him and our parents and brothers and sisters now. I can’t deny I’m a little jealous (but it’s a righteous jealousy:) He was father to countless spiritual sons and daughters who became ministers of the Gospel. Like Father Abraham ...too many to count.
I can just hear him saying now...."If you don't flirt with the devil he can't tempt you."...."Whatever is in the well is gonna come up in the bucket."...."I'm not scared of the devil, he's scared of me. He flees every time he gets around me!"
How I miss my Papa Watts. I thank God today for the life and ministry of this humble servant who forever changed the course of our lives and made the book of Acts and the New Testament a living reality in our lives, not just for the Apostles back then as we had been previously taught. "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever”....”Let God's Word be true and every man a liar." ...I can hear him shouting as he kicks up his leg while strumming his old guitar. 🎶 "Whoop, whoop, whoop — Come get me, I’m about to rapture outta here, I’m coming home Jesus.” He was the most selfless man I ever knew and I can't thank God enough for his leadership, guidance, and his commitment to preach the full Gospel 100 proof and uncompromised. I remember and honor this humble servant of God today. Thank you Jesus for my spiritual heritage.

There’s nothing like being in the House of God, hearing the anointed Word of God, worshipping God together, fellowshipping with your brothers and sisters in the Lord. It is commanded of God that we do so (Heb. 10:25). God doesn’t command us to do something that is not for our own benefit. I can guarantee you if I am not in church when the church doors are open, it is unavoidable…not because it’s my duty as a pastor, I’ve been this way all of my Christian life. I love God’s house ⛪️.
It is an honor and a privilege to go to church. It strengthens you and gives you rest, it prepares you for the battles ahead.
Certainly there are times when we are prevented from being in God’s house for various reasons, and God is still with us. God was with David on the battlefields but it was not God he was missing when he wrote Psalm 63 and Psalm 84. God was with him wherever he was at…but David was missing God in the House of God, there is a difference.
“O God, thou art My God; early will I seek thee: My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee In a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, So as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness Is better than life, My lips shall praise thee.”

“My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: They will be still praising thee. Selah.”

He was missing the power and anointing God releases as His people come together in unity in His House (Psalm 133) to hear the Word of God preached, to receive of His corporate anointing, to worship God together as one body. You can’t get that corporate blessing sitting at home or elsewhere.
There is something desperately wrong when a child of God doesn’t long to be in church. It is contemptible to God when people say “that’s just a religious spirit that thinks you need to go to church” NO that’s not a religious spirit —that is a faithful and obedient spirit, anything else is a rebellious spirit. Jesus went to church (yes synagogue/house of God)! The Bible says it was His custom. That means He was accustomed to being in God’s House. It was His good habit! Who’s your example?

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” —Psalms‬ ‭84:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And the Psalmist said “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” “a Song of degrees of David.” (Psalm 122:1).
