On Oct. 12, 1913, around 40,000 people gathered in River Forest to dedicate Concordia Teachers College—and the very next day, classes began. 📚

From a small seminary in Addison built in 1864 to the Christ-centered university we are today, our story has always been one of faith and formation. Thanks be to God for the way He has guided this institution and its people for more than 160 years. Happy Founder's Day! 🏛️✨

“Through the grace of God, CUC has come a long way in fulfilling [its] mission,” said Jeff Schwarz, general manager of Lutheran Public Radio, Inc. “Let each and every one of us give our children, our grandchildren, and the children in our congregations the opportunity to attend a Lutheran university committed to truth, freedom, and vocation with Christ at the center.”

At this year's 10th annual Maroon & Gold gala, the importance of vocation was put front and center—a reminder that God is working through all callings to turn duty into devotion and service into praise.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our attendees, more than $180,000 was raised to help students pursue an education that puts Christ at the center—forming the next generation to serve their communities and churches with integrity and excellence.
