My family has been members of Clinton Presbyterian Church since relocating to the area in 2019. We planned to visit a number of churches before settling on a โ€œhome church.โ€ Clinton was the first church we visited, and everyone was so warm and welcoming that we never went anywhere else! I currently serve as a deacon, help with craft nights at Anderson House, and co-lead our Giving Tree and Spring Box Collection efforts. In my spare time, I write and read books, spend time with friends and family, and spoil my two Labradors.

Zan Struebing is a psychologist, teacher and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Having started her career in the 80โ€™s as an elementary educator, she has continuously guided youngsters, along with their parents and teachers, in academic, hospital, and community settings. Her roles as psychologist and counselor have taken her to private practice, universities, and K-12 public schools. During a lengthy stint at a K-8 independent school, she developed and led programs in positive parenting, mindfulness, and character education--at home and in Nepal. She has served as an adjunct professor of Counseling and General Psychology. Zan has a passion for speaking and writing to spark human connection, but what she loves most is facilitating healing, compassion-focused conversation. Her expertise in parenting has been consistently applied professionally and at home, raising 3 bio children (and 1 bonus son) and attending their Back to School nights for over 25 consecutive years. With the addition of a daughter by marriage and a spectacularly glowing grandbaby, Zan and Jim, her husband of 38+ years, bask in the beauty of these precious gifts.

Zan was raised in the Lutheran Church in the midwest and continued to practice in that style until she arrived at CPC 10 years ago. She maintains an ecumenical connection, continuing to offer informal support and formal inservice opportunities for clergy in conjunction with The House Next Door in Princeton Junction. Her current participation in Session at CPC coincides with her commitment to facilitate a wide welcome to Godโ€™s children of all identities, escorting them into the assurance that they are loved, precious and created in the image of the Divine.

I grew up in Hunterdon County and moved back to Lebanon Township three years ago with my husband, Mike, and our kids Margot (8) and Will (6). We joined CPC in the fall of 2024, drawn by the warm welcome, beautiful music, and vibrant childrenโ€™s ministry. Our first visit was on Youth Sundayโ€”not a typical service, but the perfect reminder that this is a place where kids are embraced and encouraged to grow and lead in faith. In daily life, I serve as Managing Principal at Graham-Pelton, a nonprofit consulting firm. When we're not juggling work, school, and kids' activities, our family enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time on Lake George. We love hosting friends, exploring new places to eat, and spending time together in this idyllic community weโ€™re lucky to call home.

We are gearing up for another amazing week of VBS - won't you join us?!? We will gather each evening at 5:30 pm in Fellowship Hall for a light supper and friendship time. Kids will then have fun at different stations with games, singing, bible stories, crafts, and more.๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ”† https://vbspro.events/p/events/cpcrainforest2026
