Who We Are
First Baptist Church is located in the heart of Clinton, Tennessee which is a town of about 10,000 residents in the Knoxville area. We are an intergenerational community of faith who has two Sunday morning worship services: the early service (8:30 am) has a contemporary feel and meets in the Family Life Center. The second service (10:40 am) is more traditional and meets in our beautiful sanctuary. We also have Sunday School (9:30 am) for all ages which offers a time in a small group for spiritual formation in learning how to apply the Bible to daily life. On Wednesday nights, we gather around a fellowship meal and have programs and activities for all age groups.
We are involved in a variety of community ministries and mission endeavors to impact our community for Christ. We value our participation in the body of Jesus Christ and have affiliations with the Clinton Baptist Association, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and Southern Baptist Convention. We have an appreciation for historic Baptist distinctives like the priesthood of all believers, separation of church and state, and cooperative missions. The Bible is our ultimate authority, and as a confessional people we have adopted the 1963 Baptist Faith & Message.
