Matthew 7:1-29 New Testament Bible Study Jun 17, 2026

Welcome to our midweek faith booster and New Testament Bible study. Tonight we finish the three chapters in Matthew that is called the “Sermon on the Mount”. In this sermon, Jesus discusses the very high ethical standard for the Christian church. Matthew chapter seven begins with the well-known verses about “do not judge” and then transitions to the instruction to practice continual prayer by the directive to ask, seek and knock to our heavenly Father, a good God. The chapter closes with discussion on the narrow path, false prophets and having a strong foundation built on the solid rock of Jesus.
Please join me this Thursday at 6 PM for the Weekly Word Outdoor Adventures episode, “Sale Creek.” Last week we spoke about the meaning of the name for Chattanooga and this week we are traveling to Sale Creek to learn the name origin of this small town in northern Hamilton County, Tennessee. Psalm 86:1-17 Old Testament Bible Study Jun 14, 2026

Welcome to our Sunday evening Old Testament Bible Study. Psalm 86 is David’s prayer of lament and petition as he cries out to God to hear his request for salvation. Daily David cries out to God, a good God who is ready to forgive. God gives mercy to all who call upon Him. God is great and the only true god worthy of praise.

“Colossians” – Jun 14, 2026 Sunday Morning Worship

Good morning and thank you for joining us for the Chapel’s Sunday worship message. The book of Colossians is a powerful letter by the apostle Paul. He warns against false teaching and stresses the supremacy of Christ. Paul also encourages Christians to spiritual maturity with conducting their lives in a way approved unto Christ. The sermon text is Colossians 1:1-6 with the companion verses of Colossians 1:1-2. Please prepare your heart with mediation upon these verses.

The Old Mulberry Tree
Weekly Word Outdoor Adventures with Pastor Tazz for June 4, 2026
Last week we were outside of Englewood, Tennessee at Brock Holler. This week we are going over to a “suburb” of Englewood - Liberty Hill. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve traveled Liberty Hill Rd (Hwy 39) and passed an old mulberry tree that has marked time for many generations. If you are local to the Liberty Hill area you may also know that spot at Mulberry Hill. Come along and let me share a story about the old mulberry tree with you!

It can be viewed as the ethics for the church and demonstrates how Christians should act by describing the difference between those in the Kingdom of God and the rest of the world.

Psalm 84:1-12 Old Testament Bible Study May 31, 2026

Welcome to our Sunday evening Old Testament Bible Study. Psalm 84 is a fun psalm of rejoicing in worship and being in the house of God! The psalmist recognizes that it is a blessing to be in God’s house and dwell in His presence. “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”
