Matthew 5:1-48 New Testament Bible Study Jun 3, 2026

Welcome to our midweek faith booster and New Testament Bible study. Matthew chapter 5 is best known for Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount discourse and is the beginning of Jesus’ longest recorded sermon. It can be viewed as the ethics for the church and demonstrates how Christians should act by describing the difference between those in the Kingdom of God and the rest of the world.
Please join us this Thursday at 6 PM for Weekly Word Outdoor Adventures, featuring "The Old Mulberry Tree." Last week we were outside of Englewood, Tennessee at Brock Holler. This week we are going over to a “suburb” of Englewood - Liberty Hill. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve traveled Liberty Hill Rd (Hwy 39) and passed an old mulberry tree that has marked time for many generations. Come along and let me share it with you!
The Weekly Word premieres each Thursday at 6 PM, and episodes are available for viewing anytime in the Weekly Word playlists. There's plenty waiting to be discovered!

Psalm 84:1-12 Old Testament Bible Study May 31, 2026

Welcome to our Sunday evening Old Testament Bible Study. Psalm 84 is a fun psalm of rejoicing in worship and being in the house of God! The psalmist recognizes that it is a blessing to be in God’s house and dwell in His presence. “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”

We appreciate you being part of our Bible study group. Many blessings to you and please contact us if you need to know more about having that loving and eternal life that is found in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Matthew 4:1-25 New Testament Bible Study May 27, 2026

Welcome to our midweek faith booster and New Testament Bible study. Last week’s chapter ended with Jesus’ baptism, which marked the beginning of His public ministry. In Matthew 4, He retreats to the wilderness, fasts for 40 days, and overcomes three temptations from Satan. The chapter closes with Jesus calling the brothers Peter and Andrew, as well as James and John, to follow Him and fish for men. As He preached, taught, and healed, His fame spread widely throughout Galilee.

Psalm 83:1-18 Old Testament Bible Study May 24, 2026

Welcome to our Sunday evening Old Testament Bible Study. In Psalm 83, we read of a prayer for destruction of Israel’s enemies. The Old Testament teaches spiritual applications in our New Testament age and our enemy is sin. The psalmist recognizes the enemy wants to destroy the nation and we recognize that the devil wants to destroy Christianity. The psalmist requests God to work justice and remove the threat to God’s people. May the enemy be ashamed and repent. May they all recognize that God reigns over all the earth.

We appreciate you being part of our Bible study group. Many blessings to you and please contact us if you need to know more about having that loving and eternal life that is found in our Savior Jesus Christ.
