Church Family & Friends,
Here's important news we need to know that you received. Please reply, "GOT IT" so we will know that you received it.
Pastor Chris out of safety concerns over travel conditions this Sun. morning Feb. 1st has reluctantly decided that the Sunday School classes & the Worship Service are canceled for this Sunday.
Once again we would suggest that each of you gather with others in your household for a brief, simple time of worship on Sunday! It can be short, simple & creative! Sing a chorus or hymn, and/or read a verse/short passage of scripture & discuss it and/or pray together including our January Prayer Focus (see below) & any prayer needs you are aware of. An additional idea would be to call another church member, a friend or family member on a speaker phone to share/join in the time of worship with you over the phone! Our family enjoyed ours last Sunday quite a bit tho' the old devil tempted us with distractions & challenges!
Pastor Chris says, "We eagerly await the next Sunday that we can all come back together after the snow melts to worship, and give both our lives and offerings to the Lord." Let me add. When we have to cancel our services we miss the opportunity to support our church's work & ministry with our tithes & offerings tho' we may forget that the ministry needs continue right on. That's why I scheduled mine via bank draft to be sent postage paid weekly. My contributions "go to church" even when I can't!
One other thing! Please call those who you know who do not have email - or may not read or receive our messages like this - to let them know just in case they don't know about this. Don't assume they know, please!
Again here is our January Prayer Focus to pray each day!"Heavenly Father, by the Holy Spirit’s power within, we pray that you enlarge our capacity to be amazed this new year by who you are and the far more abundantly able things you can do rather than giving attention to those things which are far less significant. You are able! Help us to believe you beyond all we can ask or think."
