We pray for all those preparing for Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate - especially for our own Daniel Velez Rubio!

Lord God,
We thank You for calling Your servant Daniel to the path of diaconate.
Grant him a humble heart, a spirit of service,
and the grace to reflect Christ in word and action.
Strengthen him in study, prayer, and love for Your people,
that he may serve Your Church faithfully and joyfully.
May the Holy Spirit guide and sustain him always.
Amen.

On this Memorial Day, we remember with gratitude those who gave their lives for our country. In their sacrifice, we see an echo of Christ’s own love ... “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13) As we honor their memory, may we also be called to live selflessly, seeking peace, justice, and unity in our daily lives. Let us entrust the fallen to God’s mercy and strive to build a world worthy of their sacrifice.

Saint Rita teaches us that no wound is beyond God’s healing and no situation is beyond His grace. In moments when life feels impossible, may we turn to the Lord with the same faith and perseverance she carried throughout her life.

Through the prayers of Saint Rita, may our hearts grow in peace, forgiveness, and unwavering trust in Christ.
