Nothing you have is by luck or chance!

That job, that opportunity, that open door, that blessing you didn’t see coming, don’t give luck the credit for what God’s grace has provided!

Every good thing we have is a reminder of God’s goodness, grace, and faithfulness. We didn’t earn His love, and we can never outwork His grace. Everything we have should point back to the One who made it possible!

James 1:17 NKJV
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights.”

Ephesians 2:8 NKJV
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

Stop calling it luck and start giving God the glory!

Your blessings aren’t an excuse to brag about what you’ve accomplished. They’re an opportunity to testify about the goodness of the One who has carried you!

God gets the glory, God deserves the praise, and God alone is worthy!

Stay humble. Be thankful. Give God the glory!

Church, one of the greatest dangers we face isn’t always opposition to the truth. Sometimes it’s apathy toward the truth!

It’s seeing what’s wrong and refusing to speak up. It’s knowing we have a responsibility but expecting someone else to do something about it.

The church cannot afford to be silent!

We cannot leave our biblical convictions at the doorstep of the church and pretend our faith has nothing to say about the world around us. We don’t check our faith at the voting booth, and we don’t abandon God’s Word when the culture disagrees with it.

That doesn’t mean we hate those who disagree with us, blindly follow a political party, or use politics as an excuse to be unkind. It means we stand for biblical truth with courage, wisdom, humility, and love!

Ephesians 4:15 calls us to speak “the truth in love.”

We are called to love people, but loving people doesn’t mean compromising the truth. We can disagree without hatred, stand firm without being cruel, and speak boldly without losing the heart of Christ.

James 4:17 reminds us that knowing to do good and failing to do it is sin.

Church, it’s time to wake up!

Don’t let fear silence your convictions. Don’t let apathy replace action. And don’t let political pressure keep you from standing for what you believe God’s Word teaches.

Stand for truth. Speak with love. Live your faith.

Our allegiance is to Jesus Christ, our standard is God’s Word, and our calling is to represent Him wherever we go—not just inside the church walls!

Get out and vote!

The darkness of discouragement

As I prepare to see my neurosurgeon tomorrow, I’ll be honest: I’m discouraged. The thought of continuing to face more surgery on my spine is exhausting. Sometimes, even when your faith is strong, the battle can wear you down.

But as I sit in this place of discouragement, I’m reminded of something powerful: Jesus is already in the middle of my situation!

Lamentations 3:2 reminds us of what it feels like to walk in darkness, and Job 19:8 describes the frustration of feeling like God has blocked our path. These men of God knew what it was like to face seasons when the way forward seemed impossible.

But here’s what I’m learning about the darkness of discouragement:

Sometimes God allows us to walk through dark seasons because there are lessons we may never learn in the light.

Sometimes He doesn’t immediately remove the struggle because He is teaching us to trust Him in the middle of it.

And sometimes, the very place we want to escape becomes the place where we experience His presence in a deeper way.

The darker the valley, the more desperately we need the Light!

I’m not saying every trial is easy, and I’m not pretending discouragement isn’t real. But I refuse to believe that darkness gets the final word when Jesus is in the story!

John 8:12 reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the world. And as followers of Christ, we are called to carry His light into a world filled with darkness.

Maybe you’re walking through your own dark season today. Maybe it’s a health battle, a broken relationship, financial pressure, or a struggle nobody else knows about.

Don’t confuse a dark season with an absent God!

You may not understand why you’re walking through it, but you can still trust the One who walks with you through it.

Tomorrow, I’ll walk into that neurosurgeon’s office carrying some discouragement, but I’ll also carry my faith. I don’t know exactly what the next chapter holds, but I know who holds my future!

My prayer is that God will use even my darkest moments to make the light of Jesus shine brighter through me.

We were never called to hide from the darkness. We were commissioned to shine the light of Christ into it!

“Let your light so shine before men…” Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)

Please keep me in your prayers as I meet with my neurosurgeon tomorrow.

Spoiler alert: Jesus wins!

No matter what happens on November 3, remember this: The Kingdom of God is not on the ballot!

Elections come and go. Presidents rise and fall. Governments change. Nations shake. But Jesus Christ is still on the throne, and His authority has never been up for a vote!

Philippians 2:10-11 (NKJV) says:

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Read that again! Every knee. Every tongue. Every nation. Every ruler. Every person!

One day, there will be no political arguments, no election results to debate, and no question about who reigns supreme. Jesus Christ is King!

So vote according to your biblical convictions. Stand firm in your faith. Speak the truth in love. Pray for our nation. But never put your hope in a political party, a candidate, or a government. Our ultimate hope is in Jesus Christ alone!

November 3 may change the headlines, but it won’t change the throne!

The world may be shaking, but God is not panicking. Heaven is not in crisis. And Jesus is not surrendering His crown!

The election has an outcome. Eternity has a King. And His name is Jesus!

Exercise your right to vote.
Most of all make sure your vote aligns with God’s word.

WHO ARE WE SERVING — THE PEOPLE OR OURSELVES?

There is something we need to stop and think about.

According to Pew Research Center’s report on the 119th Congress in March 2025, Republicans made up roughly 73% of the members of Congress who had served in the military, compared with 27% who were Democrats. That is a striking difference. But this conversation must go deeper than party lines.

THE REAL QUESTION IS NOT WHICH PARTY WE BELONG TO. IT IS WHO WE ARE SERVING!

Jesus said in Mark 10:43-45 that whoever wants to become great must become a servant, because even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve and give His life for others.

Let that sink in!

Our nation was defended by men and women who were willing to sacrifice their comfort, their safety, their time with family, and sometimes their very lives for something greater than themselves.

THAT IS SERVICE. THAT IS SACRIFICE. THAT IS LOVE FOR OTHERS!

Yet we must ask ourselves: When public service becomes a pathway to personal wealth, political power, and special privilege, have we forgotten what it means to serve?

A congressional salary is intended to compensate public servants for their work, not to become a justification for treating public office as a personal enrichment scheme. Elected officials, regardless of party, should be held accountable for their financial dealings, their decisions, and the trust the American people have placed in them.

The Bible says in
Philippians 2:3-4 NKJV

“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

And Mark 10:45 reminds us that Jesus Himself came to serve, not to be served.

CHRISTIAN, THIS IS OUR CHALLENGE!

Stop judging leadership by party affiliation alone. Look at character. Look at integrity. Look at sacrifice. Look at whether a person’s actions demonstrate a heart for serving others.

We need leaders who understand that public office is a responsibility, not a reward; a trust, not a personal possession; and an opportunity to serve, not an opportunity to get rich at the expense of the people.

And this standard doesn’t stop with politicians. It starts with every one of us who claims the name of Jesus Christ.

ARE WE LIVING TO BE SERVED, OR ARE WE LIVING TO SERVE?

We owe our veterans gratitude. We owe our nation integrity. And we owe our Lord a life of humble obedience.

LESS SELFISH AMBITION. MORE SACRIFICIAL SERVICE. LESS GREED. MORE INTEGRITY. LESS TALK. MORE CHRISTLIKE ACTION!

You can go to bed in one season of your life and wake up in another!

Joseph woke up a prisoner, and God positioned him as a ruler!

One moment, you can be forgotten, overlooked, betrayed, and stuck in a situation you never asked for. The next, God can open a door that nobody on earth has the power to shut!

Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and thrown into prison. But what man meant for evil, God used for good!

“And Pharaoh said to Joseph, ‘See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.’”
Genesis 41:41 NKJV

Listen closely! Your current situation does not have to be your final destination!

But here’s the truth: God’s timing is not always our timing. Joseph waited years before his breakthrough came. The lesson isn’t that God must change your circumstances in 24 hours. The lesson is that God can change your circumstances in a moment, and no prison, betrayal, or setback is too big for His purpose!

Stop letting your present circumstances convince you that God has forgotten you!

Keep praying.
Keep obeying.
Keep trusting.
Keep walking by faith, even when you can’t see what God is doing!

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Luke 1:37 NKJV

Your story isn’t over just because this chapter is hard!

You may be in the pit today, but don’t forget who holds your future!

God has the final word—not your past, not your enemies, not your circumstances!

If you believe God is still working in your life, comment “God is not finished with me!”

IF YOU THINK YOU’VE LEARNED EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GOD, YOU’VE ALREADY STOPPED GROWING.

I was doing homework with my daughter recently and something hit me: THE WAY THEY TEACH MATH TODAY ISN’T THE WAY I LEARNED IT.

I looked at the problem and thought, “That’s not how you do it!” 😂

But here’s the thing…

We got to the same answer.

And God used a simple math lesson to remind me of a much bigger truth:

YOU NEVER STOP LEARNING.

Life keeps teaching us. Experiences teach us. Mistakes teach us. Trials teach us. And most importantly, God’s Word continues to teach us.

Your relationship with Jesus should NEVER become stagnant.

You should not be the same Christian you were 5, 10, or 20 years ago.

YOU SHOULD BE GROWING.

Growing in faith.
Growing in wisdom.
Growing in obedience.
Growing in love.
Growing in holiness.
Growing in your knowledge of Christ.

The Bible says:

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 3:18 NKJV

Notice the word: GROW.

Not arrive.
Not settle.
Not coast.
GROW.

Some people stopped growing spiritually because they decided they already knew enough.

DON’T BE THAT CHRISTIAN.

Keep opening the Bible.
Keep asking God to teach you.
Keep allowing Him to correct you.
Keep stepping outside your comfort zone.
Keep becoming more like Jesus.

Because Christianity isn’t about reaching a point where you have nothing left to learn.

IT’S ABOUT SPENDING A LIFETIME BECOMING MORE LIKE CHRIST.

And when you look back at your life, the question shouldn’t be, “How long have I been saved?”

The question should be:

“HOW MUCH HAVE I GROWN?”

DON’T JUST GET OLDER. GET CLOSER TO JESUS.
