Imagine if every church celebrated baptism with the same excitement we see from students at youth camp.

When someone goes from death to life in Christ, heaven rejoices (Luke 15:7). Why are so many churches silent when heaven is celebrating?

If students who are still growing in their faith can erupt with joy over a baptism, why can’t the rest of us?

Baptism isn’t just another part of the service, it’s a public declaration that Jesus has changed a life. It deserves more than polite applause. It deserves celebration!

Let’s stop acting like it’s routine and start rejoicing every time someone takes that step of obedience. The church should be the loudest place on earth when a soul declares, “I belong to Christ.”

“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:10

The Best Job in the World

I truly believe I have the best job as a minister. Ministry isn’t about standing on a platform, being in the spotlight, or receiving recognition. Real ministry often happens behind the scenes, in the prayers no one hears, the encouragement no one notices, the service no one applauds, and the sacrifices only God sees.

The world celebrates what is visible, but God rewards what is faithful.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”
Colossians 3:23 NKJV

Never underestimate the value of the unseen work you do for Christ. Heaven keeps a record of every act of faithfulness, even when no one else notices.

Ministry isn’t about being seen by people, it’s about being faithful to God.

Before there are seeds, there must be plowing.

Plowing is messy. It disrupts the ground. It breaks up what has become hard and comfortable. But without the plowing, the seed has nowhere to take root.

The same is true in our lives. God often allows seasons of disruption, difficulty, and change not to destroy us, but to prepare us. What feels like chaos may actually be training for the mission He has called you to.

Don’t despise the plow. The breaking is making room for growth.

“Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.”
Hosea 10:12

God is preparing a harvest. Trust the process, embrace the training, and keep your eyes on the mission. The plowing season won’t last forever, but the fruit it produces can impact eternity.

The world is obsessed with appearances, but God is concerned with the heart.

You can wear the right clothes, sit in the right pew, and look the part on the outside, yet still be far from God on the inside. Faithfulness matters more than appearance. God isn’t impressed by polished images; He desires surrendered hearts.

I’ve been in churches that seemed more concerned with appearance than faithfulness. But Scripture reminds us that God sees what man cannot see.

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7

Jesus warned religious people about this very thing:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.”
Matthew 23:25 NKJV

May we spend less time polishing the outside and more time allowing Christ to transform the inside.

A changed heart will always produce a changed life.

No family is perfect, except the family of God.

Every earthly family has flaws, failures, and struggles. But through Christ, we are adopted into a family that is eternal, loving, and built on grace. The Church isn’t perfect because of its people, it is beautiful because of its Savior.

No matter your past, your mistakes, or your brokenness, there is a place for you in God’s family.

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!”
1 John 3:1 NKJV

When the world lets you down, remember: in Christ, you have a family that lasts forever.

God’s Word Doesn’t Need Rewriting

There has been a lot of discussion lately about women serving as pastors. In a world where opinions constantly change, our responsibility as believers is not to follow culture, but to follow Scripture.

The Bible clearly lays out the qualifications for pastors and overseers in 1 Timothy 3, and God’s standards are not based on popular opinion. His Word is holy, truthful, and faithful in every generation.

1 Timothy 3:2 NKJV
“A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;”

Our role is not to edit Scripture to fit our preferences, but to submit ourselves to what God has already spoken.

2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

God’s Word is not outdated, it is eternal. Let’s stand on the truth of Scripture, even when it is unpopular, because God’s truth never changes.

We don’t change God’s Word to fit the culture; we let God’s Word change us.

Christian service has no unemployment,
God has work for everyone!

Jesus taught His disciples not only to work in the harvest but also to pray for more workers. Every believer should be praying for God to raise up and send laborers into His harvest. We are not called to serve alone. God wants us to pray, recruit, encourage, and equip others as we serve Him.

Many people want to immediately share the Gospel, but Jesus first instructed His followers to pray. Prayer prepares the way for the work God is about to do.

Luke 10:2-3 (NKJV)
“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.”

How do we prepare for the harvest? We begin with prayer, asking God to send the right people for this season. The harvest will be great when we follow God’s will and trust Him to provide the workers.

At the same time, Jesus reminds us that we are sent out as lambs among wolves. We must stay alert, remain in constant prayer, and rely on God’s protection. The enemy is always looking for opportunities to distract and discourage believers, but God is faithful to guard those who seek Him.

Let’s prepare for the harvest by praying together for God to move across our land and raise up laborers for His Kingdom.
