Meet Seth King.

Seth is active in Methodist Men, Labor for your Neighbors, Bible studies, and the Leadership Board. He shows up for his church, he shows up for his family, and he shows up for other young men who are watching what it looks like to be a man of faith.

That last part matters more than people realize.

Someone is always watching. A younger man at church. A son. A neighbor. And Seth lives like he knows that β€” not out of pressure, but out of genuine commitment to Christ.

Proverbs 27:17 says "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
Seth is that kind of man. The kind who makes the people around him better just by being consistent.

Here's your challenge today:

Who in your life is that for you? Who are YOU that for?

Faithfulness isn't just personal, it's contagious. Someone around you is being shaped by how you live your faith. Whether you know it or not.

Congratulations, Seth. FUMC Cleburne is better because you're in it.

Something special happened at FUMC Cleburne and we don't want you to miss it.

This year, the Fidelis Sunday School Class created the Horizon Award, a way to recognize emerging leaders in our congregation who are living out their faith right now. Not someday. Now.

Four leaders were nominated by their peers and chosen for one reason: they are already doing the thing. Serving. Loving. Leading. Quietly pointing others toward Jesus.

John Wesley called it holiness of heart and life. We just call it what it looks like when someone actually takes their faith seriously every single day, not just on Sunday morning.

This week we want to introduce you to all four of them.

But here's the question we want to leave with you today:

What would it look like for YOU to live your faith on a Tuesday? On a random Thursday? In the grocery store, at work, in your home?

The church doesn't just need faithful people on Sunday. It needs people like you β€” awake, active, and all-in, every single day.

Stay tuned. You're going to want to meet these four.

We love supporting Smith Intermediate School!

We want to take a moment to thank our two Community Partners, First United Methodist Church of Cleburne and Field Street Baptist Church, for faithfully providing snack sacks for students who needed food on the weekends. We want to recognize your commitment to Cleburne families through service this past year. We are grateful.

Memorial Day πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude and reverence for the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. Their courage, their sacrifice, and their love for others will never be forgotten.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." β€” John 15:13

Today we honor the fallen and pray for the families who carry this loss every day.

πŸ™ May God comfort those who grieve, and may we never take for granted the freedom purchased at such a cost.

Join us for Pentecost Sunday.
They refused to scatter so God scattered them. Then Pentecost happened, and everything reversed.
