📣 Guys Night Update!

Guys Night is moving to Tuesday this week as we get ready for our Annual Yard Sale!
We'll be spending the evening helping with setup and getting everything ready for the weekend. Then we'll gather again on Saturday at noon to help with teardown and hauling away any remaining items.

It's a great opportunity to serve together, connect with other guys, and make a big impact behind the scenes. We hope you'll join us!

Happy Birthday, Pastor Bob!

Today we celebrate someone whose life has been marked by decades of faithful ministry and a deep love for people.

Pastor Bob serves as one of our Teaching Pastors, an elder, and works alongside LeeAnn in overseeing Discipleship here at Salem Community Church. Together, they also faithfully care for our shut-in ministry, making sure those who cannot gather with us still feel seen, remembered, and loved.

Over the years, Pastor Bob has served in many roles — from youth ministry in Kentucky, to leading a traveling drama ministry, to faithfully serving as a Senior Pastor for many years. Today, that same heart for ministry continues at Salem.

He faithfully:
• Helps teach and disciple our church family
• Supports and strengthens the teaching ministry at SCC
• Assists in refining message content and biblical instruction
• Helps onboard Life Group hosts and supports discipleship pathways
• Invests in Bible studies and spiritual formation opportunities
• Serves our congregation with wisdom, care, and encouragement

If you have sat in one of his Bible studies, heard him teach, prayed with him, or watched the way he and LeeAnn care for others, you know this is more than a position — it is a calling.
Pastor Bob, thank you for your faithfulness, your heart for discipleship, your years of ministry, and the way you continue to pour into Salem. You are an incredible blessing and gift to this church family.

Help us wish Pastor Bob a very happy birthday in the comments!

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude, pray for the families of the fallen, and thank God for those who served so selflessly.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

From all of us at Salem Community Church, we pray you have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

As we wrap up this month’s discipleship challenge, we want to invite our Salem families into one final step of faith: Stretch your faith through giving.

This challenge has never been about an amount—it’s about trusting God and choosing generosity beyond what’s comfortable. Every dollar given through Heart for His House will go directly toward supporting children and families at Casa Aleluya Orphanage in Guatemala during our 2026 mission trip.

Together, we have the opportunity to make a real impact and remind others they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.
Final donations are due by May 24th. Thank you for being a church that shows up with open hands and open hearts.

This Sunday we will have a Potluck following our Indoor Family Worship Experience — and we want to fill the tables!

If you’re coming, bring your favorite side dish, dessert, casserole, crockpot meal, chips, pasta salad… whatever your family loves to share. The more food, the better the fellowship.
This is one of those Sundays where everyone gathers around the table, slows down, and enjoys time together as a church family.

Invite someone, bring a dish, and stay after service for good food and great community.

Today we take a moment to celebrate our Senior Pastor and the role he has served in since 2021.
Pastor Nathan serves as the Senior Pastor of Salem Community Church, helping lead the vision, direction, and spiritual life of our church.

He faithfully:
• Prepares and delivers weekly messages, helping us understand and apply God’s Word
• Provides vision and direction for where God is leading our church
• Oversees weekend services and the ministries that support them
• Works alongside staff and leadership to care for and guide our church family
• Invests in relationships both within our church and across our city

The vision and direction of Salem doesn’t happen by accident — it’s the result of prayer, discernment, faithful leadership, and serving alongside the other leaders God has blessed Salem with.
Because of this leadership, Salem continues to grow not just in number, but in depth — becoming a church that is grounded in truth, present in community, and focused on what God is doing right now.

We are grateful for the way he serves, leads, and pours into this church week after week.

Take a moment and help us wish Pastor Nathan a happy birthday!
