We meet every Sunday at 2111 Trenton Road at 10:00 am. oneChurch.tv is a church that longs to create irresistible environments that allow the unchurched to take a second look at Jesus. We're casual and relevant, and we allow a safe place for people to ask questions and investigate Jesus and His Word.

Last Sunday we finished part three of our Enough series and got practical in Ephesians 6: the battle we're in is real, spiritual, and aimed at convincing us we're "not enough," so we too often respond by striving, numbing out, or comparing. God gives us a battle plan — put on the full armor (the belt of truth, the body armor of righteousness, and the shoes of the good news of peace) and pick up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, the Word. The weapons and strength belong to him, but we are the ones called to put on and pick up so that when the evil day comes we'll be standing firm.

This week I want to challenge you to practice the battle drill: each morning put on your belt of truth, grab your shoes of peace, and be ready to hold up your shield of faith when fiery arrows come. Use the Bible app (that tap tag I mentioned) to lock into one verse to memorize and let it be your helmet and your sword — and if you're worn out or haven't put on the armor, reach out so we can walk with you as you suit up.

Blessings,

Paul’s words order the soul under the belt of truth. Truth sits at the core like a wide support, holding everything together. Not just hearing about it, but knowing it. “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” That truth says forgiven, graced, adopted, and covered in Christ. The body armor of righteousness names that covering. Jesus is the armor, shielding from the accusations of the father of lies. The shoes of peace are not flip flops. They carry traction to walk the good news into real terrain where roots trip and rocks cut. Peace does not tiptoe. Peace moves out, fully prepared.

Wear truth where life bends. The belt of truth belongs at the core, where decisions, desires, and identity get pulled tight. Knowing the truth, not just admiring it from a distance, breaks the lock of bo***ge. Integrity and transparency are not extras; they are how the armor holds together. Freedom grows where Scripture holds the center.

Faith lifts like a water-soaked shield that snuffs fiery arrows. The arrows are distraction, and distraction opens the back door. Faith keeps the eyes on Jesus. The helmet of salvation guards the mind where doubt whispers, Did God really say? Salvation answers with assurance. Once in Christ, always in Christ. Nothing can pluck a son or daughter from his hand. Finally, the sword of the Spirit is the Word. Scripture is not a shelf trophy. It trains, corrects, equips. If a soldier never trains with the gear, the gear will not help in the field.

Hold up faith under fire. Faith is a soaked shield, ready for sparks that aim to distract more than destroy. Lifted faith keeps eyes on Jesus, so surprise attacks find no open flank. Untended faith becomes decor, but exercised faith becomes defense. Every arrow that hisses out on the leather is a reminder that trust is a practiced posture.

Day 1: Standing Firm in the Mighty Strength of the Lord
The battle against lies of inadequacy cannot be won through human effort. True strength comes only when we surrender to God’s power, not our own striving. Ephesians 6:10 makes it clear: victory begins by letting His strength—not our grit, plans, or willpower—become our foundation. Like soldiers relying on issued armor, we must trust the Source rather than improvise. Freedom comes when we stop pretending we’re strong enough and let His might move through our weakness.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”
(Ephesians 6:10, NIV)

Reflection: Where have you been relying on your own strength instead of surrendering to God’s power? What would it look like to let His might define your next step?

Ephesians 6 stands up and names the fight that keeps pressing on the church. John 10:10 sets the backdrop. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus gives a rich and satisfying life. The lie of “not enough” keeps churning, and the church keeps reaching for coping strategies that cannot hold. Striving flames out. Numbing only delays pain. Comparison hollows identity. Hope is not a plan, but God’s plan is armor. God’s strength is the fuel. The church’s job is to put on and pick up.

Kim finished our series on Enough by reminding us that with Jesus we are ALWAYS enough. Without Jesus? We will never BE ENOUGH. You can watch it HERE: https://onechurch.subspla.sh/p2gsgb9

05/24/2026

We will never be ENOUGH- so we must run to the ONE who is our ENOUGH. When God looks at us He sees that we are Holy, made right, forgiven, complete, chosen, accepted and dearly loved. And there is not one of these areas of that we will ever be able to accomplish on our own.
We must surrender what is out of our control to the ONE who is in control. To our Great God. He has all of the wisdom, all of the answers, all of the strength, all of the energy that we are trying so hard to generate on our own. We must replace the lies of not ENOUGH with the truth. Enough is a mirage. Enough is an illusion. Only in Jesus will we ever find our ENOUGH. And, the amazing thing about all of this is that because HE IS ENOUGH - we don’t have to be.

All too many of us struggle under the weight of life, convinced we need to work harder to prove to ourselves, to others, and to God that we are good enough, smart enough, and spiritual enough to do the things we believe we should. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. But make no mistake, we have another enemy that longs to tear us down—to steal, kill, and destroy us.
If I were your enemy, this is what I would do: I would attack your identity. I would make you believe you had to prove yourself. Then you would focus on yourself instead of God.
Friends would become enemies. Teammates would become competition. You would isolate yourself and think you are not enough. You would get depressed and be ungrateful for your story. Or you would compare and believe you are better than others. You would judge people who need God. You would condemn them rather than love and invite them in. You would gossip and destroy and tear down other works of God. Either way you would lose your joy, because your eyes would be fixed on yourself and people instead of on Jesus.
BIG IDEA: In order to fight the lies, you have to know the truth!
