The choirs are back this week! 🎶🎵 Rehearsals for the chancel and handbell choirs will take place on Wednesday evening in the sanctuary.

The chancel choir will sing on Sunday, September 13 down at Hoffner Street - music is on the front handbell table near the organ. Interested singers should pick up a copy tomorrow after worship.

If you have been waiting for the right time to join a First UCC choir, this week is the PERFECT time! 😍 Come to a rehearsal to see the process, get to know fellow members, and ask Jimmy or the groups any of your questions. We love welcoming new faces and hope you will be one of them this season! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍🩵🩷

I can see the light of brand new day.
I can see the light of a clear blue morning.
Oh, and everything's gonna be all right.
It's gonna be okay."

In addition to the many people we witnessed take part in Rev. Derek Terry's service this afternoon, I want to also thank you, members and friends of First UCC, for all the work you did behind the scenes: greeting congregants, distributing bulletins, prepping Fellowship Hall, assisting the catering team, securing altar flowers, labeling reserved pews, working with Jimmy on the livestream and projection, and so much more... You were all a big help today and I thank you for that! ❤ - Jimmy

The service for Rev. Derek Terry is on the United Church of Christ's Facebook and YouTube pages (see our previous Facebook post). I hope to reshare the livestream to our own page in the near future.
