This Sunday evening at 7 pm we welcome a special singer, Michael Johnson, to sing at Three Locks Church! Here’s a bit more about Mike!
"Singing Gospel music has been my lifelong goal and dream as long as I can remember," he said. "My musical inspirations had been singers and ministers who sang at my church."
Johnson has been a part of his church, The Rising Son Church in Kingston, Ohio, since 1977, with his first service taking place when he was just one week old!
His singing experience includes being a member of CHS' Cavalites group, singing the National Anthem for the Cincinnati Reds and Chillicothe Paints, and singing in many states and Canada.
In 1999, Johnson was ordained as a Minister. He has been actively singing for the Lord since that time, singing in his church's Praise and Worship Team since 2020.
"I have also been blessed to be part of a local ministry, Transparent Ministries since 2013," said Johnson. "I have been putting together Sing for The King, an event that will be held for the 12th straight year this year."
Johnson's favorite Scripture is Romans 8:28 and Romans 8:37-39.
Romans 8:28:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."
Romans 8:37-39:
"Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
