1 Corinthians 6:20 says “You are not your own; you were bought with a price.” When we accept Jesus as our savior, we submit to God’s will for our lives, over our own desire. Thankfully we have the Holy Spirit to help guide us, but that guidance must be stewarded well or it will grow silent.

“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary” Galatians 6:9

Temptation does not come from the Lord, it is our own desires calling out to us. But once we have accepted salvation in Jesus Christ we no longer belong to ourselves or our desires.

“So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭7‬-‭10‬
