What an incredible Sunday at City Light! 🙌

We worshipped together, spent time in God's presence, opened His Word, and enjoyed seeing our church family gather once again. Every Sunday is special, but yesterday was one we'll be celebrating for a long time.

The highlight of the day was seeing 3 people say YES to Jesus! 🎉 There is no greater reason to celebrate than lives being changed by the love and grace of Christ.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, invited someone, served on a team, and helped make the day possible. We are so grateful for all that God is doing and can't wait to see what He has in store next!

Following Jesus doesn’t flip a switch where struggle disappears.
It changes who’s in charge.

Sin still pulls, but it no longer rules.
The habits may linger, but the chains are broken.
The enemy still resists, but he no longer has power.

That’s why the Bible doesn’t say “try harder.”
It says remember who you are.

You’re not fighting to earn freedom.
You’re learning to live like someone who’s already been rescued.

Most of us think we need to clean ourselves up before coming to God. Fix the habits. Break the patterns. Try harder. Be better.

But that was never the plan.

The Bible says the problem isn’t just what we do, it’s something deeper in us. And ignoring it doesn’t make it go away. Comparing ourselves to others doesn’t heal it. Religious effort can’t cure it.

God didn’t love you because you changed. He loved you enough to change you.

While we were still broken. Still stuck. Still choosing the wrong things. Jesus stepped in and paid the cost we couldn’t.

The cure wasn’t earned.
It wasn’t delayed.
It was finished.

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we lead with gratitude, love deeply, and remember the true cost of freedom.

Sundays at City Light never get old. ✨

We laughed, worshipped, prayed together, and experienced the presence of God in such a powerful way. But the greatest moment of all was watching 7 people say YES to Jesus today. That’s why we do what we do. Jesus is still changing lives!
