Come and celebrate with us on June 20th 2026 on the Bessie Smith Hall History Museum grounds for the “BIG 9” commemorative event. Following the Cerebration of Juneteenth we celebrate the history of Ninth Street now known as Martin Luther King Blvd.

The number “40” is an intricate number in the history of biblical teaching from Genesis to Revelation. From fasting, praying, destroying, rebuilding and many other times that God used to get the attention of his children then and even today. As we go through the Lenten season let us take these 40 leading up to Easter for the preparation of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
