Welcome Pastors Walter and Angela H. Cross Jr.
from Haven United Methodist Church in Powell, TN and Martin Chapel United Methodist Church in Knoxville, TN where he presently serve as senior pastor.

Pastor Walter Cross will be speaking tomorrow morning with us at Thorns2Crowns Ministry for our “In House Discipleship Study Gathering” The 2-Day Gathering has been the focus on building disciples of Christ. Pastor Cross is a native of Chattanooga and has served at local Methodist and Baptist Churches.

Come and join us on tomorrow’s worship service at 11:15 a.m. located at 4413 Oakwood Drive Building #3 Chattanooga, TN 37416.

My question: How many churches and memberships have you changed in your life? Why?

I’ll start with myself! (7) seven is my number. Why, it was because God was elevating me to a higher purpose and call. I was not angry but perplexed because nothing was wrong and I just didn’t know why I was beginning to be uncomfortable where I was.

Some places I hated to say goodbye but if I had not moved I would not be where I am today. So, why am I saying this? It is to encourage pastors and members don’t fight or be discouraged when someone leaves your ministry or God is telling them to move. Encourage them to be obedient to the Holy Spirit leading. It will work out good for you and for them.

He knows the plan he has for YOU!

Thank you Cindy and everyone who played any part from the decorations that was a remarkable transformation of our overflow room, to the men who served the families and guest you guys were on top of your game, to the clean up crew a fantastic job and for anyone else I may have left out, from the depths of our hearts especially mine, I thank you for the surprise of honoring Barbara, my wife, you 1st Lady, your friend and loved one on this day.

I especially say thank you to Cindy, you are a special God sent woman to us and the family here at Thorns2Crowns Ministry. You, along with so many others here has made this place a God centered place for building disciples for Christ. And that alone is our soul purpose for this ministry. Again thanks to everyone who have given your time, resources, gifts, talents and witness for these past 3 + years.

Somebody ask why? Some have swimming pools, some have gardens, some have playing grounds for children, and some have fishing ponds; we chose a prayer circle something that we don’t have enough of but need more of.

Now is truly the time to pray without ceasing!
