Gloria Dei Lutheran Church We believe that Jesus is our 'Yes' to us, so that we can be a 'Yes' to others. We are a friendly and caring Christian community.

The members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church come together to Worship as a family from many faith traditions. Our families live in the Chathams and Madison and many other surrounding towns. Lutherans are a diverse group of people, convinced that the Holy Spirit is leading us toward unity in the household of God.

Celebrating Reformation Day This Sunday!

On Sunday, October 25, we join Christians worldwide in remembering the start of the Protestant Reformation (October 31, 1517!). Martin Luther's courage reminded us of a timeless truth: salvation is a gift of God's grace, not something earned or bought.

The church is called to always be reforming and listening to God's voice in our context today.

This Sunday, October 18, when the Pharisees try to trap Jesus, he tells them to give the emperor what belongs to him and to God what belongs to God. To gather for worship reminds us that our ultimate allegiance is to God rather than to any earthly authority. Created in the image of God, we offer our entire selves in the service of God and for the sake of the world.

This Sunday, October 11, God spreads a table before us. Even amid anxiety and hardship we rejoice in the peace of God which surpasses all understanding. With great joy we feast at the table of the Lord, and we go forth to share the wonderful invitation with others hungering and thirsting for the abundant life of God.

In this Sunday’s (October 4) Gospel reading, Jesus tells the story of the vineyard—showing God’s deep love and forgiveness through Christ. Joined to Christ through baptism, we are refreshed at his table to share his love with others. Come gather for Word and Sacrament. Refreshed by the bread and cup, we go out together to care for a world in need. See you in church!
