Youth Breakout Sessions Start This Sunday!

The Youth Ministry is excited to roll out a new format. Starting this Sunday and moving forward, the Youth (grades 6 -12) will be meeting immediately after Sunday worship. We will start our time with a meal and fellowship before diving into a discussion. This will give the youth both time and space to grow their faith, have deeper conversations, and build relationships with one another. We will meet in M3 on the first four Sundays of every month unless otherwise noted (5th Sundays are Potluck Lunch dates).

Join us, starting this Sunday from 12:30-2pm.

🌱 YOUTH SUNDAY August 2026! 🌱

What a joy it was to worship together this past Sunday! We celebrated our kids and youth and prayed over them, their teachers, and the year ahead.

Our kids and youth helped lead us throughout the entire service, from praise and worship to liturgy and prayer. We were also blessed to have guest preacher, Jake Tassy, bring the Word from John 15, reminding us of what it means to be ROOTED in Christ. 🌿

We also commissioned our new Community Group leaders, gathered around the table for our Fifth Sunday Potluck and Community Group Fair, and celebrated the many ways God is growing and building up our church family.

And finally, we had the bittersweet joy of saying farewell to two amazing women on our staff, Amy and LeVan. We are so grateful for the ways they have served Christ Central Church and prayed over them as they step into what God has next for each of them. ❤️

What a Sunday to remember! We are grateful for a church family that worships, serves, grows, eats, prays, and follows Jesus together. 🌱

Make a Difference in Just One Hour a Week ❤️➗

You don’t have to be a math whiz to make a big difference!

Heart Math Tutoring is looking for volunteers to tutor elementary students one hour a week, October through April. You’ll work with the same students each week using an easy, guided program filled with fun math games.

There are locations throughout Mecklenburg County, a Cabarrus County option, and even a virtual option!

Christ Central had 9 tutors last year. Can we get to 10 this year? 🙌

Community Group Open House + Potluck Sunday! 🥘

At Christ Central, we believe Community Groups are one of the most important ways we care for our own needs, the needs of those around us, and our ongoing relationship with God. Life is better when we walk it together!

Wanting to get involved in serving our Charlotte community?

Volunteer with us on August 29 for Hope Tank Day as we care for our neighbors through hands-on opportunities for all ages.

We’re looking for volunteers to:
-Spread the word
-Collect and donate hygiene products

We're also grateful for the faithful leadership of one of our own elders, Tom Bastian, who preached this summer from the gospel of John.

Thank you, Tom, for faithfully opening God's Word and pointing our church family to the life, love, and joy that are found only in abiding in Jesus. We are grateful for leaders who shepherd our congregation with humility, wisdom, and a deep love for Christ and His Church.

This July, while Pastor Tony took a well-deserved time of rest, our church family was blessed each week by faithful, community leaders who stepped into the pulpit to share God's Word.

A huge thank you to Corron Boston (West Charlotte Church @ Freedom), Rev. Charles McKnight (MNA), Juan Rodriguez (RUF), and Rev. Brian Wood (First ARP Church) for serving our congregation so faithfully throughout the month. We are so grateful for each of you and for the unique ways God spoke through your preaching.

What a gift it is to be part of a larger community of believers, encouraging one another and proclaiming the hope of the gospel together. Thank you for blessing Christ Central this summer! ❤️
