Graduation Sunday at Little Rock Church

Today, we proudly honored and celebrated 12 remarkable graduates whose dedication, determination, and faith have brought them to this significant milestone. Each accomplishment represents countless hours of hard work, support from loved ones, and God's sustaining grace.

As a church family, we rejoice in their success and pray that God will continue to open doors of opportunity, grant wisdom for every decision, and lead them into their purpose.

Congratulations to our graduates! 🎓 May this achievement be just the beginning of all that God has prepared for you.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

Rev. Dr. Derrill A. Blue Pastoral Assignment

Congratulations, and welcome home to Rev. Dr. Derrill A. Blue, First Lady Dr. Paula B. Blue, and family!

We joyfully celebrate the return of our newly reassigned pastor, Rev. Dr. Derrill A. Blue, who was appointed to Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church by Bishop Darryl B. Starnes, Sr. during the 136th Western North Carolina Annual Conference.

We are truly blessed to welcome Dr. Blue, First Lady Dr. Paula B. Blue, and their family back home. With great anticipation, we look forward to the mighty work God will accomplish through this new assignment. We believe that lives will be transformed, hearts renewed, and God's kingdom advanced in extraordinary ways.

"Eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." — 1 Corinthians 2:9

And as Dr. Blue answers God's call, we are reminded of the words of Isaiah 6:8:

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'"

Welcome home, Dr. Blue and family! We are praying for God's continued favor, wisdom, strength, and abundant blessings as you lead the congregation into this exciting new season. To God be the glory!

Congratulations Queen Narcissus B. Lowery!

Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church is excited to announce that our very own matriarch, Mrs. Narcissus B. Lowery, was crowned Queen of the A.M.E. Zion Church Western North Carolina Conference Home Missions Department today!

We celebrate this special honor and recognize the many years of faithful service, dedication, and invaluable contributions that Mrs. Lowery has made to the A.M.E. Zion Church and the community. Her commitment and leadership continue to inspire generations.

The crowning ceremony was held during the A.M.E. Zion Church Western North Carolina Conference under the leadership of Bishop Darryl B. Starnes, Sr., Senior Bishop of The A.M.E. Zion Church and Presiding Prelate of the Piedmont Episcopal District.

Mrs. Lowery was represented at the crowning ceremony by her daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Lowery Harrison, who gracefully accepted the crown on her behalf, accompanied by our pastor, Rev. Dr. Derrill A. Blue.

Please join us in congratulating Queen Narcissus B. Lowery on this well-deserved honor. May God continue to bless her abundantly as she exemplifies grace, faith, and service.

🔥 What a mighty move of God at Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church today! 🔥
Pastor Appreciation Day was truly a blessing from beginning to end. Rev. Dr. Derrill Blue preached a powerful and inspiring message that stirred our hearts, while the Chosen Women's Choir ministered beautifully through song.
We were also blessed to welcome 13 new members into our church family, making this day even more special. Following worship, a wonderful reception was held in honor of Rev. Dr. Derrill Blue and his family. The reception was sponsored by the Pastor's Aide Ministry under the leadership of Carol Staley, with a delicious meal prepared by the Culinary Ministry. Special gifts and cards were presented by Larry Austin and members of the congregation.
What a beautiful day of worship, fellowship, appreciation, and growth! As we head to conference this week, we thank God for His faithfulness and for the leadership He has given our church.
