JOURNEY OF THE SOUL
Religion and spirituality are rooted in faith,
the sum of what one chooses to believe.
As part of my spiritual journey over fifty years,
I choose to believe in reincarnation,
that past lives influence present lives,
a spiritual concept that can help explain
suffering, mortality, and the purpose of
human existence. These experiences guide us
toward personal transformation, self-discovery
and higher consciousness.

Evidence abounds in interviews with people
of all ages and nations who recall past lives.
When you consider the science of energy and
matter, the continuity of life makes sense.
Energy doesn't just cease; matter transforms.
Death is not an end, quite the contrary—
we are a part of a cosmic family, returning
together time after time. Through the use of
our free will, we can grow at our own pace.
Through many lifetimes we become enlightened
as our consciousness expands. We become
aware of our sacred oneness with all of life.

Whether viewed as a spiritual truth or
a metaphor, reincarnation challenges us to live
with purpose and intention. If life is a cycle,
each action ripples into the next. If it's a lesson,
growth is the key. And if it's unknown, then
embracing kindness, wisdom, and love
ensures we make the most of this existence,
whether it's our first life or our hundredth.

Join us this Saturday, May 30 from 11-2pm for Unity of Kanawha Valley, Charleston, WV’s first hot dog sale of 2026. There will be hot dogs, chips, drinks and desserts. New Hope Animal Rescue will be on the other side of the parking lot with dogs that need a good home. Join us for this fun event. The weather is supposed to be perfect. Eat lunch with us. NO GREATER COMFORT
Every person is a unique shining light
radiating with love. We see each other’s light.
We respect and love one another.
We carry that light through
the ebbs and flows of living.
Things change — you can count on it.
Yet not one of us is alone in this life.
We know Divine love is with us,
all around us and within us.
There is no greater comfort,
No greater comforter.
No matter what we are going through,
it does not change our connection.
Remember the words of St. Teresa of Avilla,
who survived the Inquisition:
“Let nothing disturb you.
Let nothing upset you.
Everything changes.
God alone is unchanging.”
