WHO'S DISCIPLING YOU THROUGH YOUR PHONE?

We need the family of God and the godly friendships that keep us grounded in truth.

But we also need discerning minds, because counterfeit gospels come at us from every angle.

Sometimes it comes from within the local body. But often it comes through our phone screens, our podcasts, and the influencers we follow.

Influencers who quote Scripture but deny the authority of Scripture itself.

Or preachers who use the name of Jesus but preach a Jesus the apostles wouldn't even recognize.

We've watched the rise and fall of megachurches promoting their platforms time and time again.

But what's stood the test of time are the churches that stayed faithful to sound doctrine.

So evaluate where you spend your time and who you give attention to. Because it matters more than you think.

THIS PRAYER HABIT WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING

Imagine never saying "Amen" at the end of a prayer. Imagine never wanting to hang up the phone on God.

That's what constant prayer looks like, treating every moment of the day as an open line to our Father.

What does our prayer life look like? Do we go to God only for needs, or do we go just to talk with Him?

Maybe the better prayer sounds like, "God, speak to me. I'm Your child, and I want to learn from the wise Father You are."

So how wise are we to what is good, and how innocent are we to what is evil?

What are we watching, what are we listening to, and what are we letting in at midnight when we can't sleep?

Because whatever we subject ourselves to slowly forms us into the image of something other than Christ.

The calling of the Church is to be both wise to good and innocent to evil.

THE ACHE UNDER EVERY HALLMARK MOVIE

Loneliness isn't a modern problem. It was a problem a few days into human history. It's a human problem, and our culture keeps preaching it back to us.

Think about how every Hallmark movie starts. A single woman, alone. She might be beautiful, successful, with the right clothes, the right apartment, and the perfect dog.

But underneath all of it, she's disconnected. She's surrounded by people, activities, and money, but she's not deeply known by anyone in her life.

Then she goes home, meets someone who actually sees her, and the ache finally gets named. The movie was never really about Christmas cookies or a small-town festival.

It was about the longing in all of us to be known, loved, and welcomed home. We laugh at how predictable these movies are, but the predictability is the point.

Married people get lonely. Single people get lonely. Successful people, rich people, and church people, all lonely. Because we're wired for attachment.

We're not just brains with bodies. We're relational creatures. We want someone to notice when we walk in the room, and miss us when we're gone.

We're made in the image of a relational God. Before sin, before the fall, He said it is not good for man to be alone. So when you long to be known, it only makes sense.
