We will be hosting a special Ascension Day service at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday, May 14th at 7:00pm, joining with our surrounding Lutheran churches for this shared celebration.
The Ascension of Our Lord is one of the great feasts of the Church Year in the Lutheran tradition. It commemorates the moment, 40 days after Easter, when Jesus Christ physically ascended into heaven in the presence of His disciples. This holy day celebrates Christ’s exaltation—His return to the Father’s right hand—where He reigns over all creation, and it also reminds us of His promise to return again in glory.
This service is a meaningful opportunity to gather as one Lutheran community in worship, lifting our voices in praise for Christ’s victory, His continuing presence with His Church, and the hope we share in His promised return.
All are welcome to join us for this special evening of worship and fellowship.
