🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧

Please be aware of a temporary road closure starting next week that may affect those traveling to Immanuel Lutheran Church & Preschool.

The closure is part of EIU’s multi-year utility tunnel project, which involves repairing and upgrading underground utility tunnels that provide heating and other services to campus buildings. The work includes replacing steam and condensate piping, repairing sections of the tunnels, and upgrading utility connections.

While Immanuel Lutheran Church & Preschool is not affiliated with or involved in this project, we want to make sure our staff, preschool families, and church members are aware of the closure and can plan accordingly.

📅 September 7 – October 4
🚧 9th Street Closure
📍 Just south of the entrance to Immanuel

Please allow additional travel time and plan to use an alternate route when coming to or leaving our church and preschool during this period.

Today, we celebrate not only Independence Day, but also the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding. 🇺🇸

For 250 years, America has stood as a symbol of freedom, hope, and opportunity. As we gather with family and friends this Fourth of July, may we give thanks for the blessings of liberty and pray for God’s continued guidance over our country.

We are incredibly thankful for the dedicated members of the LERT team and all of the volunteers who have stepped up to help our community in the aftermath of the recent storm damage. Your willingness to serve, lend a hand, and support those in need is a true blessing and a shining example of Christ’s love in action.

From clearing debris to offering encouragement and assistance, your hard work and compassion are making a real difference for so many families.
