It's hard to adequately put into words what God did this past week at The Church Centre. On Thursday, we sent eighteen students to Youth Camp (full recap video coming soon). Many were saved or rededicated their lives to Jesus and came back with an undeniable hunger. God truly met with us and changed the lives of our young people!
We left Camp Lee Sunday morning, and we arrived back at The Church for our Sunday morning service. We worshipped the Lord with freedom and our young people continued to press in just like they had done at Camp. Pastor's dad, Brother Gary Benton, preached, and brought a powerful reminder that we are not to conform to this world and it's principles, ideas, and logic. May the people of God continue to be a square peg that cannot fit in a round hole!
The altars filled, souls were saved, and we then concluded service with water baptisms. Eleven people left old lifestyles, sins, and mindsets in the water and made the public confession and expression that Jesus is their Lord. Baptism is not the end. It's a signal that old things have passed away and all things have been made new!
Our young people then got to "sundae" our Youth Pastors to officially conclude Youth Camp. Brother Cody and Sister Keisha are such good sports and have a heart to reach the youth in our community. We are so excited for the future at The Church Centre!
We have service tonight at 6:30pm. The adults will have service in the sanctuary, the youth will meet in the back, and nursery will be available. See you soon!
