BLESSING
“We give to bless others.”
Scripture: Genesis 12:2–3

3 SIMPLE REASONS TO GIVE — BLESSING
God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others.
In Genesis 12:2–3, God tells Abraham, “I will bless you... and you will be a blessing.”
Our giving is one way we live out that calling.
When we give to Centre First United Methodist Church, our gifts help support the ministries of our church and create opportunities to serve, encourage, teach, worship and reach others with God's love.
We don't give simply to receive a blessing. We give because we have already been blessed—and we want to be a blessing to others.

Consecration Sunday — October 25.
Come ready to prayerfully consider how God is calling you to participate in the ministry of Centre First UMC.

3 SIMPLE REASONS — GRATITUDE
Everything we have is a gift from God.
Our families.
Our homes.
Our opportunities.
Our church.
Our community.
Our ability to serve.
1 Chronicles 29:14 reminds us that everything comes from God, and we give back to Him from what He has first given us.
Giving is one way we say, “Thank You, God.”
This week, take a moment to think about the blessings in your life. Let your giving be an expression of a grateful heart. We are continuing our journey toward Consecration Sunday — October 25.

Why do we give?
Because God calls us to give.
Malachi 3:8 challenges us to consider whether we are honoring God with what He has entrusted to us.
Giving isn't simply about money. It is an act of faith, trust and obedience.
When we give, we are saying:
“God, everything I have comes from You, and I trust You with what You have given me.”
This week, let's remember that giving is the right thing to do because God has called us to do it.
Join us Sunday as we begin our 3 Simple Reasons journey toward Consecration Sunday — October 25.

Over the next three weeks, we invite you to join us on a journey of faith, reflection, and spiritual growth as we explore three simple but meaningful themes found throughout Scripture:

OBEDIENCE — October 4
Learning to listen for God's direction and faithfully follow His calling.
GRATITUDE — October 11
Recognizing God's blessings and cultivating a heart of thankfulness.
BLESSING — October 18
Discovering how God works through our lives to bless and encourage others.

Each week will give us an opportunity to pause, reflect, and grow deeper in our understanding of what it means to live faithfully.
Join us each Sunday as we prepare our hearts and minds for Consecration Sunday on October 25.

This is one of our biggest fundraisers of each year for the children in need at Centre Elementary School! Please check with a member of the CFUMC Men’s Club to get tix in advance or let us know you’re coming! Dine in or carry out from 11am-1pm Sunday, Sept 27th at $12.50/plate.
