Trinity Sunday is a major feast day in Western Christianity observed on the first Sunday after Pentecost. Unlike most other holy days that commemorate specific historical events or saints, it celebrates a core Christian doctrine: the belief in one God as three distinct, co-equal Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

(1)As you start the weekend and begin planning for next week, remember these tips for creating a faith foundation for your children.
Practical ways to nurture this foundation include:
(1) Model the Behavior:
Children learn by observing. Let them see you actively practicing your faith through prayer, scripture reading, and how you treat others.
(2) Teach and Discuss Daily:
Use everyday moments to talk about God's teachings. You can explore verses together using resources like Bible.com.
(3) Pray Over and With Them:
Praying together shows children that God is a constant presence, protector, and guide in your family's life.
(4) Build Community:
Get involved with local congregations or family ministries where children can engage with peers and mentors who share similar values.
(5) Encourage Grace and Forgiveness:
Model the forgiveness of Christ by creating a home environment where mistakes are treated as opportunities to learn and grow.

Last Sunday we celebrated the graduation of Braelin Cumbie from D. W. Daniel High School. The Cumbie family has been active in our church for several generations. This is what it means when the Bible says to raise children in the ways of the Lord. It means intentionally guiding them to build a personal faith, developing their moral character, and reflecting God’s love in everyday life. It is rooted in scriptural wisdom and focuses on establishing a strong spiritual foundation from a young age.
Pictured here are the proud familiy members (Pic1) Quint Cumbie, Benji Cumbie, Braelin Cumbie and Heather Cumbie and (Pic2) grandparents Debbie Cumbie Cooler, Braelin Cumbie, and Jim Cooler.
