Practical ways to nurture this foundation include:
(1) Model the Behavior:

Use everyday moments to talk about God's teachings. You can explore verses together using resources like Bible.com.
(3) Pray Over and With Them:
Praying together shows children that God is a constant presence, protector, and guide in your family's life.

Get involved with local congregations or family ministries where children can engage with peers and mentors who share similar values.
(5) Encourage Grace and Forgiveness:

Last Sunday we celebrated the graduation of Braelin Cumbie from D. W. Daniel High School. The Cumbie family has been active in our church for several generations. This is what it means when the Bible says to raise children in the ways of the Lord. It means intentionally guiding them to build a personal faith, developing their moral character, and reflecting God’s love in everyday life. It is rooted in scriptural wisdom and focuses on establishing a strong spiritual foundation from a young age.
