People don’t trust the Church like they used to. Instead of trying to make the Church look better, we are encouraging people to actually be better. More honest. More accountable. More like Jesus in how we live, not just what we say.

We are going to lean into the tension instead of avoiding it.

Topics we will be stepping into include:

Church hurt and disappointment
Hypocrisy and the gap between what we say and how we live
Shallow faith versus real discipleship
Personal responsibility in representing Jesus well
What authentic, everyday faith actually looks like
The tone we are aiming for:
Honest, not defensive
Convicting, but not condemning
Hopeful, not heavy

We are not here to criticize the Church as an institution. We are calling ourselves and our people higher. This starts with us.

Pentecost weekend at First Open Bible was something we won’t forget!

We had three services, and we were joined by our friend Evangelist Josh Radford.

People responded to Jesus. We saw salvations, rededications, and moments of real surrender. We saw healing, freedom, and deliverance. We saw people come in heavy and leave changed by the presence of God.

It wasn’t hype. It wasn’t emotional energy. It was real encounters with Jesus changing real lives.
And we are so thankful.

What stands out most is this: the Holy Spirit is still moving today. Not just somewhere far away or in stories from the past, but right here, in real time, in real people.

Jesus is still saving. Still healing. Still restoring what’s been broken. It’s what God has been doing, what He did again this weekend, and what we believe He’s going to keep doing as we keep saying yes to Him!🙌🏼

Join us this Wednesday for Wednesday in the Word as we gather to worship, grow, and lean into truth together. Whether your week has been heavy or full, there’s something powerful about pausing and opening God’s Word as a church family.

On Memorial Day we remember and honor all those who does in Active Military Service for our nation. Our freedom in America continues due to the blanket of protection purchased with blood, sweat, and tears. Today we pay honor to those who have given their lives so we may be free.
