There is a prophetic call to bear witness to Christ’s activity in creation—not just at the beginning but the redeeming and stabilizing force in the cosmos. We celebrate that Jesus Christ is the agent through whom everything in the universe was made, redeemed and sustained. Vincent van Gogh wrote: “Christ lived serenely, as a greater artist, despising marble and clay as well as color, working in living flesh . . . this matchless artist made neither statues nor pictures . . . [but] loudly proclaimed that he made . . . living people, immortals.”

The Rev. Dr. Cheryl Lindsay posed an intriguing question, 'What if the wilderness is not a dangerous place full of peril but a launching point to enter the realm of God at its purest form?"

When an elderly shepherd named Moses led his sheep beyond the wilderness, he encountered holy ground. Instead of running in fear from bush that was not consumed by the fire that burned within it, Moses approached to investigate. His approach was all that God required. God called Moses to follow beyond this wilderness. Forever changed by this experience, Moses would lead God's people beyond the wilderness in the presence of God. Did Moses enter the realm of God beyond the wilderness?

We are saddened to declare that due to the repeated vandalism to the Little Pantry (known as 'The Box') located on 10th Street, we will not put food in it for a week or two. Broken doors allow animals and the weather access to any food stored in it.
