True restoration in our lives begins with admitting our need for Jesus. He is our altar, where we bring our sin, brokenness, and need for restoration. Through Him, sacrifice meets mercy, and we are made whole.

The story of the furnace ultimately points us to Jesus. He promises to be with us in the furnaces of life, but He also willingly entered the furnace Himself through His death on the cross. Jesus is the Rock whose kingdom is greater than every earthly kingdom, sustained by the power of God’s love. Earthly kingdoms will pass away, but His kingdom will endure forever.

In 2 Kings 25, the destruction of the temple marks a devastating moment in Israel’s story. But God’s story of redemption was far from over. The Old and New Testaments point us to the fulfillment of God’s promise in Jesus, the true Temple and God with us. Through Him, God’s promises of hope and salvation are fulfilled.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be a “So That” people: living our lives in such a way so that others can see and know that God is good. But we cannot fully live out that calling while continuing to limp between the one true God and the idols that compete for our hearts. Jesus lovingly invites us to turn away from the things we repeatedly run back to that leave us empty and return to the God who alone can satisfy.

In 1 Kings 3, God gives Solomon the gift of wisdom, but even the wisest king ultimately falls short. His story reminds us that we all need a greater Savior, Jesus, the true wisdom of God, the true temple where we meet with God, and the true King who reigns forever. This week, ask yourself: Where do I need Jesus' wisdom, his presence, or his leadership? Take one step of obedience and trust the One who has proven himself faithful.

The battles we face were never meant to be fought in our own strength. Jesus has already won the victory over sin and death. Because of Him, we don't fight for victory, but from it. Whatever battle you're facing today, remember: God is faithful, and Christ has already won.

The story of Joshua points us to a greater Savior. Joshua and the Law could only take God's people so far. They were always meant to point to Jesus. Through Him, we receive not only salvation but also the invitation to a transformed life.

The Ten Commandments reveal the heart of God and point us to our need for Jesus. Because Jesus fulfilled the law on our behalf, obedience isn't about earning God's love—it's our loving response to the grace we've already received.

This week, trust God, listen for His direction, and look for an opportunity to be a blessing to someone around you.
