Catonsville Presbyterian Church

Catonsville Presbyterian Church Thoughtfully and heartfully engaging in justice, worship, and spiritual formation 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Most importantly, we are more than our building.

We actively engage our intellects and our hearts in what we believe to be true: that God’s peace, justice, and radical love are good news for every corner of our lives. We seek to be a place of freedom and liberation, where people of all ages and backgrounds deepen their connection to God and others while making a tangible difference in our Catonsville community and throughout the world. Since the

initial 21 charter members of Catonsville Presbyterian were received on March 27, 1881, our fellowship has grown to include more than 400 members today. Our church, in the heart of Catonsville, is a special gathering place for worship and community activity. We are a dynamic and motivated community of believers seeking to do God’s will to bring about reconciliation and peace and hope, at home, around the region and in the wider world beyond.

"Go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice" (Mt. 9:12). Go and learn. Go and learn: mercy. What a remarkable summary of the Christian life and what Jesus hopes for us when we walk with him. This Sunday, worship moves to the fellowship hall at 9:30 a.m., and we'll gather around the Lord's Table to share in Communion. See you in worship! ~Ken

This is the final week of our Summer Food Drive for Westowne & Hillcrest Elementary Schools — and every donation between now and Friday makes a real difference for local families this summer.
Food insecurity doesn't always look the way we expect — it exists in every kind of neighborhood, including ones that might surprise you. These are our neighbors, and summer is a long time when school meals aren't available.

Most needed this week:

• Peanut butter and canned proteins
• Cereal and shelf-stable milk
• Pasta, rice, dry beans
• Easy-prep meals and sides
• Kid-friendly snacks

Every extra item helps. Thank you.

Drop-off times
May 29 & June 6, 4–6pm

Jesus' commission at the end of Matthew 28 establishes the mission of the church. To be baptized in the "name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit," is to be immersed in the life and work of God. To be baptized in the name of the Triune God is to be welcomed into a relationship, a deep communion that transforms and transfigures how we see ourselves and the meaning and purpose of our lives. See you in worship! ~Ken
