Happy June!

As we head towards the summer season we are switching to a different setting of the liturgy. Always nice to change up the music along with the changing of the seasons. We will be using Setting 12 from the “All Creation Sings” supplement to our hymnal, along with some good familiar hymns. Come and hear, come and sing!

Here at St. Philip's, we believe there should be a seat for everyone at the table.

We worship this Sunday by writing letters to our elected representatives for Bread for the World to protect vital programs like SNAP, and we are celebrating 60 years of ministry with a potluck after worship!

Whether you’ve been here for 60 years or this is your first time, there is a seat (and a plate) waiting for you.

As we gear up for our 60th anniversary potluck this Sunday, we wanted to share a story from our past!

Gracious God,
on this day we give thanks for the love of mothers—
for those who have nurtured us, guided us, and held us.
We celebrate with joy those who are mothers
and those who have shared a mother’s love.

And we hold tenderly the grief this day can bring—
for those who long to be mothers,
for those who have lost mothers or children,
and for relationships marked by pain or absence.

Meet each of us where we are,
with comfort, healing, and hope.
Amen.
