What does it mean to be a people with hearts aflame and minds afire?

In Friday's opening sermon, Bishop David Bard reflected on grace, the richness of the Wesleyan tradition, and the call for Michigan United Methodists to reclaim and renew that heritage while honestly confronting the places where the church has fallen short. He challenged the conference to "know that grace, live that grace, and share that grace."

Saturday's Daily News also highlights the State of the Conference, a vision for imagining a church yet-to-be, and the remarkable generosity of Michigan congregations, which led the denomination in giving to the Advance in 2025.
