Registration is now open for our Summer GOkids VBS program!

Are you ready for this summer to get a little ... chaotic? Get ready for Camp Chaos VBS! This summer, we will spend a few days at a campsite in the forest. But watch out -- things are starting to get a little crazy at Camp Chaos.

Camp Chaos VBS focuses on five of the Gospels’ most chaotic stories. Together, we will learn how Jesus is our peace in a chaotic world.

We will be offering 5 VBS style events this summer:
-Thursday, June 11 - 9:30 am-12:00 pm (registration closes May 26)
-Thursday, June 25 - 9:30 am-12:00 pm (registration closes June 8 )
-Thursday, July 9 - 9:30 am-12:00 pm (registration closes June 17)
-Thursday, July 23 - 9:30 am-12:00 pm (registration closes July 1)
-Thursday, August 13 - 9:30 am-2:00 pm *lunch included on this day (registration closes July 22)

Child Participants:
Registration is open to all children who are 3 years old and potty trained through entering 5th grade for the 2026-2027 school year.

Volunteers:
Registration as a volunteer is open to all who are entering 6th grade for the 2026-2027 school year through adults.

I am pleased to share that our Summer GOkids registration is up and running! (Thank you for your patience as we worked out some issues while learning to use new registration software! It all looks to be working correctly as of today!)
We will be offering 5 VBS style events this summer:
-Thursday, June 12 - 10:00-12:00pm (registration closes May 26)
-Thursday, June 26 - 10:00am-12:00pm (registration closes June 9)
-Thursday, July 17 - 10:00am-12:00pm (registration closes June 23)
-Thursday, July 31 - 10:00am-12:00pm (registration closes July 14)
-Thursday, August 14 - 10:00am-2:00pm *lunch provided this day (registration closes July 28)
This summer, our VBS program is "What a Mess! VBS!" Jesus loves messy people! That’s good news for us, because we all have our own messes. This summer, we are going to have lots of messy fun, with messy snacks, games, crafts, and more! On our final day, we'll extend our time together for lunch and enjoy some outdoor fun in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to cancel our Wednesday evening activities at church this evening due to the changing weather conditions. Roads are getting slippery and visibility is decreased. Praying you all stay warm and safe this evening, and we hope to see you next week!

Save the date for this year's Sunday School program: "John...THE BAPTIST". You're probably wondering: "Wait a minute…I thought this was a Christmas program!?!? Isn’t this supposed to be about the birth of Jesus? Don’t we celebrate Jesus’ birth at Christmas?" Well, it is about Jesus. But John the Baptist was a really big important part of the story of Jesus. As we prepare for Christmas, join us, as the Sunday School and the Worship Choir join together to share about how John the Baptist prepared people for Jesus.

Our GEMS Girls' Club and our Cadets Boys' Club both Kick-Off the season next week on Wednesday, October 2! Join us for our free community dinner at 6:00 pm, with GEMS and Cadets running from 6:25-8:00 pm for children in 3rd through 8th grade!

Our final event follows our regular VBS schedule for the morning with lesson, games, crafts and fun, but the day is extended through 2:00 pm for lunch and outdoor fun in the afternoon.
