Hail and blessings from the officers of the Board of Deacons at Sacred Well Congregation! For this blessing, we solemnly honor a secular holiday —Einherjar. In Europe, Einherjar is celebrated on November 11th, while in the United States, we celebrate this holiday on Memorial Day. In either situation, we pause to honor and remember those service members and veterans who have passed through the veil, transitioning from this life to the next. We come together, with gratitude, as a community of support and compassion, standing side by side with family and friends.

Fertility Abundant

April Musing 2

"We often view fertility as something for younger adults but there is more to fertility than bodily reproduction. We can find fertility of mind & body in creation. With Beltane around the corner it is time to think about how we can celebrate that fertility. Old or young, what will you create?"

Enchanting Whispers

Flowers create fields of color, welcoming precious pollinators to begin their work. They nourish the world & encourage growth both big and small.

The magic of Spring can be found in that nourishment & the tiny enchanting whispers of the caregivers of the world providing for others.

We can practice noticing the quiet enchantments in our daily lives. Who are we helping to grow and who is helping us to grow? How can we give thanks to that which provides for us be it nature or a person?

On Growth
March Musing 2

If we know nothing else we know that growing is never an easy task. The right conditions have to be met for a seed to sprout and their roots to break through hard ground. They have to find both stability in the earth and find their way to the surface to stand tall and work hard for the fruits of their labor.

it is important to remember that growth looks different for every flower and every flower grows differently year to year.

What kind of flower are you? What does your growth look like this season?

Renewing Hope
February Musings

Surviving takes courage and living demands bravery. We cannot stay inside with the doors locked and the curtains drawn, and still expect the stars to guide us. We have to feed the fire within us to give ourselves the will to overcome the barriers in between us and peace. We must seek out what gives us the strength and power to look the Dark in its eyes and tell it that we will not succumb to the hate it inspires. That we will take the hands of our neighbors, friends, and family and stand strong in the Hope that we constantly renew within one another. ~ Lissa M. Howe, [email protected]
