If you haven't seen the emails or campaign posts, we are not hosting Soul Collage tonight. Team members are traveling and out of town, so we will re-gather in July. We hope to see you then!

Are we missing the gifts of the Spirit in people we still quietly judge, even while saying they are welcome at the table? Can the church honour its identity and traditions without turning them into barriers to full participation?

Jesus and the original apostles followed Mosaic purity law, including avoiding foods prescribed as “unclean.” Maintaining ritual purity limited table fellowship with people from outside the house of Israel, the gentiles. But in Acts 10, Peter has a vision in which he is commanded to eat what the Law called “unclean.” Peter realizes that just as God does not consider any particular food unclean, God has not chosen any single group of people, but is the God of all. Since God Shows No Partiality, how can we build a radically inclusive community where our diversity is celebrated but never used to exclude, divide, or create hierarchies of righteousness?

You can participate via live video as usual or join us in person at Community of Christ Ottawa congregation: đź’’ 888 Byron Ave, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K2A 0J1.

Play is both fun and how kids learn and develop. That’s how the Peace Pavilion approaches its lessons – through interactive play that helps foster peace in their lives, families, community, and world.

The United Nations’ theme for this year is “Protect play, protect childhood.” For more information about this special day and the essential role of play in a child’s life, check out https://righttoplay.com/en/landing/celebrating-the-international-day-of-play/. Come support play at the Peace Pavilion with YOUR kids or grandkids!
