Walking the Way Together

In October of 2010 the kids and I read a book called Walking the Way together we learned a lot that year. We learned to press in to listening to the holy spirit. The end of the book touched on Leviticus 23. We had never heard this before Gods Sacred Calendar. We we got our bibles out and did a study on this. We found you can count the days with the moon and come up with Gods dates each year. To us it felt right it was like God asking us to carry this on. We also learned we where thankful to be a gentiles and not a Jew. We don’t have to live by the law but we feel it helps our walk to review this calendar each year. My kids love doing and talking about Passover. We loving how the Bible tells Christians Jesus died and fulfilled the the first part of Gods calendar. We love the time together each year. 2010 is also the last year our kids choose to do Easter for them it didn’t feel right bc this was the only worldly holiday that falls in Gods calendar. Now Katharine and Kaleigh have started their families and still feel the same way. They don’t want to do Easter in the worldly way. So they also don’t say Happy Easter but Happy Resurrection day. No Egg hunts or Baskets on that day. I pray for them and their new families as they talk this season of what God wants for them. God’s Sacred Calendar
