This photo exemplifies the Principles of our Honored Order, perfectly, and shows the true brotherhood that is felt between the three Councils of District #212 of PA State Council Knights of Columbus. On Tuesday night, our District Ceremonials Team needed two spots filled on short notice. Washington Council #1083's Deputy Grand Knight (soon to be Grand Knight) Michael Pierce, and St. Oscar Romero Council #3291's Grand Knight Garrett Andrae answered the call, rallying to Burgettstown Council #3440's aid for an Exemplification on Avella, PA, at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. The fraternal bond between our councils is strong. May it grow ever stronger! VIVAT JESUS!

District Deputy Report for District #212 of PA State Council Knights of Columbus:

This week in PA State Council Knights of Columbus District #212, we kicked off the week with the District COR meeting on Monday night, June 1, in Burgettstown Knights of Columbus Council #3440's Hall with the Sacrament of Charity by Pope Benedict XVI. The meeting regularly represents brothers from #3440 and #1083.

Next, there were two Exemplifications of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity held. The first Exemplification was held at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Avella, PA, where two men joined the Order, including the Priest, Father Luke Iyengar. The District's Ceremonials Team, founded by Burgettstown Knights of Columbus Council #3440, needed to fill two presenter roles on June 2, due to schedule conflicts, and BOY, did our Assembly #922 brothers come through for us as proof of how close our Knights are to each other, fraternally, in District #212! Worthy Deputy Grand Knight SK Michael Pierce (soon to be Grand Knight) of Washington Council #1083 stepped in for Charity and Worthy Grand Knight and SK Garrett Andrae stepped in for Unity. Council #3440 and Council #3291 grew by one new member each.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Washington, Council #1083's brand new Ceremonials Team launched its first in-person Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity in a decade, or EVER. Led with confidence and authority by SK Michael Pierce and DD (not #212) & Past Grand Knight SK David Roessler and Financial Secretary David Cook, who spoke with authority from the podium, FOUR new members joined the Order! As a retiring DD on June 30, I have witnessed this Council's struggles with recruitment, and am so gratified that they are now back with a rebuilt and solid foundation. The future looks bright for Washington #1083.

May God grant my successor as District Deputy, Worthy Grand Knight John Quayle, many blessings during his term or terms as DD.

Vivat Jesus!

- Christopher Scott, District Deputy, District #212, PA State Council Knights of Columbus.
