On August 1, 2020 the Abundant Love (formerly known as Imperial) and Atlasburg Nazarene Churches merged to form one congregation. Since then, we have been giving the church building some much needed TLC. We are currently praying that God will give a name to our newly formed church family. We are excited to see what God has in store. Renovation has us limited to one worship service at this time. We

are meeting in person on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am in the sanctuary. Your temperature will be taken upon arriving. We ask that you keep your masks on, socially distance and use the hand sanitizer. Everyone is welcome! More service times to come.

Today, our beloved sister, Barb, was gently released from her earthly suffering. Even though God granted us only a few years together, we shared a lifetime of love as a church, family, and it is hard to imagine our lives without her presence in them. While we hold close the Hope through through Jesus Christ, that we will see her again one day, our hearts are deeply saddened by her absence. Please keep in your prayers, her neighbors and friends, who cared for her and watched over her with such kindness, love, and dignity. Till we see you again, dear sister…

We cannot save ourselves. If we could, there would have been no need for Jesus to have been our sacrificial Lamb. Stop trying to save yourself and turn to the One who has already done the work for your saving.

We had a wonderful worship service today, filled with praise and God’s presence, followed by a beautiful time of baptism. It was such a blessing to witness lives being transformed and faith publicly declared. A special moment was when those who had already been baptized placed their hands in the water, remembering and reflecting on their own baptism day. Grateful for all that God is doing!

Who or what is your “sure hope?” If you can say, and truly mean, that Jesus is your Hope, it’s a beautiful thing. Jesus is your Hope, because He’s changed you, is changing you and will continue to change you, so that others see His reflection in what you say, do, post, how you love, and where go. We call ourselves “Christian,” but it should so much more than a title. It should be a residency, citizenship, and a relationship.

When we come to the knowledge of God’s sacrifice and payment through Christ for our debt of sin, we make a choice. Either we die to our own thoughts, desires, and plans, or we continue to live for ourselves. Jesus died for you, me, and all mankind. Our response and acceptance of His sacrifice requires that we live for Him. Living into His thoughts, desires and plans. Do you live out this response? Jesus died for you, do you live for Him?
