"‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:1-3)
Words fall short to speak enough about this great man: Bob Melofchik. He was indeed a man of deep faith. In our church community, he was known for his beautiful-shining smile. His deep love and commitment to his family was very obvious. He loved our church and always spoke with hope and positive energy for our ministry up to the last day I met with him few hours before his passing. Despite his illness in last two years, speaking to him always leaves you with encouragement and energy that may not be easy to find these days. God has given Bob to our church as a gift and a blessing--Thanks be to God!
It is with deep sadness and hope in the resurrection that we announce the passing of our dear brother Bob Melofchik today, Thursday of May 7th, early in the morning. Our prayer for God's comfort to his beloved family: to his loving wife of 44 years, Jodie A. Melofchik; his daughter, Gloria M. Hoffmann; his son-in-law, James Hoffmann; his sister-in-law, Margareta Melofchik; his nieces, Laura Castles and Danielle Mollitor; and his cherished grandchildren, Emery Hoffmann and Weston Hoffmann.
On the behalf of the family, everyone in our church community is invited to celebrate Bob's life as we proclaim our faith in the Resurrection of Christ.
