Suthers Food Pantry Receives Rotary Club Grant

Suthers is thrilled to have been awarded a grant from the Rotary Club to help us with our planned new volunteer registration & management system. We look forward to working with the Rotary Club through their food drives for Suthers, monthly starting on June 13 at the Brookhaven Farmers Market, this summer. Come visit us in the pantry and we will show you our BIG check in person!

Make a Joyful Noise
Summer Pick-up Choir at St. Martin’s

From May 31st to September 6th, all are welcome to sing with the St. Martin’s Adult Choir each Sunday. Our choir takes a break from regular Thursday evening rehearsals for the summer, so each week we have a pick-up choir. Any interested parishioners and friends are invited to join - no robes or processing necessary. The pick-up choir rehearses the day’s hymns and learns a simple offertory anthem. Meet any summer Sunday in the church at 10:15 a.m. to sing for the 11:00 a.m. service. On the first Sunday of each month - June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6 - meet at 9:15 a.m. for the ONE St. Martin’s 10:00 a.m. service. To aid in planning, please write [email protected] if you plan to join - but feel free to simply show up too - it is, afterall, “Pick-up Choir,” just pick-up the music and sing!

Pastoral Care Spotlight for June: Barbara Adler
With her warm smile, gentle spirit, and delightful self-deprecating wit, Barbara Adler has long been a faithful and treasured member of the St. Martin in the Fields family.

Barbara’s quiet devotion and steady presence are woven throughout the life of our parish. She is an active participant in the Brown Bag Theology Book Group and Daughters of the King, bringing thoughtfulness, faith, and friendship to both communities.

Perhaps most beautifully, Barbara serves as a Eucharistic Minister, carrying Holy Communion to members of our St. Martin’s family who are unable to physically join us for worship. Through this ministry, she extends not only the sacrament but also the love, care, and connection of our church community.

Barbara’s faith is expressed not through fanfare, but through faithful service and compassionate presence. She reminds us that ministry often arrives with a kind word, a listening heart, and a willingness to show up for one another.

Barbara is truly a gift to St. Martin in the Fields, and we give thanks for her loving ministry among us.

Perhaps you, or someone you know, would like a Eucharistic visit. Or perhaps you feel called to be a Eucharistic Visitor yourself. If so, contact Nancy Runion to learn more.

Pre-K students are off to Kindergarten! At the chapel celebration, parents and family members gathered to celebrate students as they head to the Lower School next year. Students sang chapel songs and heard a special message about growing up and embracing change from Mr. White. Congratulations to St. Martin’s newest Kindergarteners!

This is the LAST Sunday to dedicate your Prayer Doves!
