Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus - June 11th

On June 11, 2026, the Catholic bishops of the United States will gather in Orlando to consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This historic act is an invitation for Catholics across the country to entrust our nation, our communities, and our families to the merciful love of Christ.

A consecration is a spiritual act of trust. By consecrating our nation to the Sacred Heart, we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the source of our hope and that His love remains the sure foundation upon which individuals, families, and societies flourish.

The image of the Sacred Heart reminds us of the Lord's infinite love - a Heart that burns with charity, bears the wounds of sacrifice, and remains open to all. In a world often marked by division, uncertainty, and suffering, we turn to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and pray that He may renew our nation in faith, justice, peace, and charity.

Join us in praying for our country in the days leading up to June 11. Consider participating in the national novena to the Sacred Heart, attending Mass, spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, or praying the Litany of the Sacred Heart with your family.

Together, let us ask the Lord to bless our nation and draw all people closer to His loving Heart.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus reign in our hearts, our homes, our parish, and throughout our nation.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Wednesday, July 17th at 7pm in the Church

Greeters and Ushers at our liturgies are the face of welcome to anyone who enters our church doors! A person who is welcomed warmly into our parish family - even if only for an hour - is more likely to enter deeply into the celebration of the liturgy.

Current greeters/ushers - and those who hope to serve are invited to a special Training on Wednesday, July 17th. Afterwards, we will hold a brief training for new Ushers and Greeters.

Please RSVP to the training at https://www.olachurch-forms.org/greeter-usher-signup

2026 Summer of Service

The Parish Engagement Council invites you to participate in it's first annual Summer of Service.

The Summer of Service initiative offers volunteer opportunities for all ages to stay actively involved in church life throughout the summer. Through a variety of service projects, parishioners will have the opportunity to serve our community, grow in fellowship, and share the love and Word of God through acts of faith and compassion.

We are currently offering five Volunteer Options over six dates. Each opportunity will have a primary coordinator who will manage the volunteers as the date draws nearer via e-mail and/or text chain to finalize details, collect materials/donations if required and communicate important information (including waivers if required).

Holy Land Carvings Sales | Weekend of June 20th/21st

The Holy Land Carvings group from the Holy Land will be selling olive wood products the weekend of June 20th/21st in the narthex of the church. They represent Christian wood carvers of Bethlehem that rely on tourism to support their families. Due to the interruption of the tourist trade, thousands of families in the Holy Land are in danger of having to leave their homes in search of work.

Your purchase helps these Christian families remain in their homes and support their families.
