You are invited to donate blood and become a hero at our upcoming blood drive. Scheduled for Monday, July 20th from 2pm to 6:30pm. The Versiti blood drive will be held in Fellowship Hall.

Did you know that every 2 seconds, someone in America requires a blood transfusion? From trauma patients to those battling cancer, your donation can make a lifesaving impact.

By donating blood, we will be able to help our community with this vital need. In addition to helping save lives, Versiti is offering a promotion during the blood drive- Give a pint, get a pint. All attempting donors, 21 yrs and older, will get a coupon for a free pint at participating restaurants or breweries.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that our friend, colleague, and member of the Gethsemane community passed away on the evening of June 3rd. Gary was an incredibly talented musician and worked to build an exceptional music ministry here at Gethsemane. As a pastor who got to work with Gary, I was blessed by his talent and collaborative nature, his friendship, and his wisdom. I will miss him terribly.

So many of you have reached out already to express your offers of prayer and support. Our gratitude goes out to all of you, especially the staff of the GM Synod.

A service of a Celebration of Life will be held at Gethsemane on Friday June 12th beginning at 4:30. After the service, everyone is welcome to join us in Fellowship Hall to share in some of Gary’s favorite Gethsemane Homemade Fare.

We rest in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection.
