Yesterday and today, your pastors, along with several teachers and delegates from CTL, attended the Southeastern Wisconsin District Convention at Wisconsin Lutheran College. This two-day gathering includes district elections, reports, updates, worship, and much more.

God loves sinners—and he wants us to say it out loud. Christians are sinners whom God has mercifully called. Only mercy can explain why Jesus brings people to faith and promises them salvation. Only grace can explain how he calls them to serve as they are able, even in the ministry of the gospel. Join us for worship this week as we dive deeper into our sermon series “Say It Out Loud” to understand how God calls sinners to serve him!

Services are on Sunday mornings at 8:00 and 10:30 and Monday evenings at 6:30. As a reminder, there is no Sunday School in session during the summer months.

Get ready to swing into another summer of VBS at CTL! Kids from PreK4 through 6th grade are invited to join us for four mornings of rainforest‑themed fun, faith, and maybe a few surprises along the way. We’ll meet Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23, from 9:00–11:30 a.m.

On July 23, we’ll wrap things up with a closing service at 11:30 a.m., followed by a light lunch in the fellowship hall—because exploring the jungle works up an appetite.

This past weekend, members of CTL participated in our first highway cleanup of the year! We had a great group come out to help care for our stretch of highway. Our next cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th, at 9:00 am. It usually takes about 90 minutes and is a great opportunity to get in some extra steps while enjoying good conversations with others.

Gracious Lord, giver of all that is good, we come to you this Memorial Day remembering with gratitude and thanksgiving the sacrifices others have made that we might live in the freedoms we now enjoy. We remember those who serve our nation in the military; those who have willingly offered their service for the good of others; and those who have offered their lives to defend and protect our liberty. Into your hands, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy through our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Note: In observance of Memorial Day, there will be no Monday evening worship on May 25.

On Thursday, CTL students will wrap up the 2025-2026 school year with the K-8 Awards Ceremony followed by an offsite picnic lunch. Students will return to campus later that evening for the Closing Service and Reception. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of students and blessings to all of them this summer!

In particular, we want to congratulate our 8th grade students who will take that next big step of entering high school. May the Lord continue to remain a constant presence in their lives as he guides them through life’s journeys.

This year, we will not host a separate Ascension worship service. Rather we will celebrate the Ascension of our Lord this weekend. Please join us for one of our Sunday morning worship services at 8:00 and 10:30 or on Monday evening at 6:30.

The reviews are in! Tonight’s performance of “Give Our Regards to Broadway” has been deemed a success by critics. If you didn’t catch it, you can experience it tomorrow, Friday, May 8, at 6:00 p.m.

A special thank you to the incredible CTL staff, teachers, volunteers and students who worked so diligently to create such a memorable and fun evening!
