When danger strikes, most people instinctively move away from it. Yet first responders do the opposite. Firefighters, police officers, and paramedics run toward the very scenes others are fleeing. They enter burning buildings, approach violent situations, and kneel beside the injured in chaotic moments. This response is unexpected because it goes against basic human instinct. In the same way, God calls us to be spiritual first responders when we see people in trouble because of sin.

Join us for worship this Sunday morning (8:00 and 10:30) as we learn how God calls us away from self-preservation and comfort in service to him!

Congratulations to our member and Christ the Lord Lutheran School alumna, Lily Hatzung, who was nominated for the Wisconsin Lutheran High School Viking Christian Leader award for her outstanding attitude, notable consideration towards others, and her leadership.

Viking Christian Leaders: Love ✝

Congratulations to Lily Hatzung ('27) and Gabe Krill ('28) who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of August under “The Wisco Way Word": Love.

🏅Lily was nominated for the Viking Christian Leader award for her outstanding attitude, notable consideration towards others and her leadership. She checks in on her friends and classmates, showing up with compassion and the love of Christ. After graduating from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Lily is undecided but is thinking about being a teacher.

🏅Gabe was nominated for the Viking Christian Leader awards for his servant mindset, notable consideration towards others, outstanding attitude/disposition, and exemplary character. Gabe consistently shows love and kindness to others no matter what. His behavior reflects Christ's love to everyone around him. Each and every day, Gabe lets his light shine and does everything in his power to listen to, include, care for, and show kindness towards everyone he interacts with.

Lily attended grade school at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church and School, where she is also a member. Gabe attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Muskego, Wisconsin, where he is also a member.

We’re pleased to have Mrs. Jennifer Sims join CTL as our 7th/8th grade teacher this year! Her installation will take place during the August 23rd worship services. Welcome to the CTL family, Mrs. Sims!

Ladies, join us for a fun morning of fellowship and purposeful shopping this Saturday, August 22 (8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) here at Christ the Lord. Come and browse a selection of "new-to-you," gently used women’s clothing, accessories, and home decor items. The event kicks off with a light breakfast and devotion, followed by shopping. Entry is just $10 and includes a cute, complimentary tote bag to fill with all your unique finds. All items are free. Every dollar raised through the registration fee directly supports the New Beginnings Ministry. All ladies ages 14 and up are welcome.

Last weekend, members of CTL’s leadership gathered for discussion and future ministry planning. They also had time for a little fun. God bless their work and CTL’s continued efforts to share Jesus in the Brookfield area.
