Join us for a meaningful afternoon of worship, music, and conversation as we observe Race Relations Sunday.

This special gathering, sponsored by the Clinch Mountain District Dismantling Racism Team, will feature guest speaker Maggie Jackson, Chair of Qualla Boundary MMIW from the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who will share insights into the ongoing work of advocacy, justice, and remembrance for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

We will also be blessed by the beautiful music of The Mosaic Community Choir.

Parking is available at the Virginia Farm Bureau (354 S Main St.), just a two-minute walk from the Historical Society. The venue is handicap accessible.

Youth Rally is Back for 2026! 🙌🔥

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of worship, friendship, fun, and growing in your faith! Youth Rally is led by youth, for youth, giving students the opportunity to experience inspiring worship, hear messages from their peers, and connect with young people from across the Holston Conference.

This year there are two opportunities to participate:

📍 Northern Region
🗓️ September 12-13
🏕️ Camp Bays Mountain (Kingsport, TN)

📍 Southern Region
🗓️ October 24-25
🏕️ Camp Lookout (Rising Fawn, GA)

Whether you’re coming with your youth group or on your own, there’s a place for you. Scholarships are available, and youth are encouraged to serve as worship leaders, musicians, small group leaders, speakers, and more.

Where does your offering go?

Every gift you place in the offering plate is making a difference.

For every $10 given to your local United Methodist Church in the Clinch Mountain District:
🙏 $8.50 remains with your local congregation to support worship, ministry, missions, and community outreach.
💒 $1.00 helps fund the shared ministry of the Holston Conference, equipping churches, supporting clergy, starting new faith communities, and strengthening ministries across our region.
⛰️ $0.50 supports the work of the Clinch Mountain District, helping connect, resource, and encourage our local churches.

Through connectional giving, your generosity reaches far beyond the walls of any one church. Together we plant new churches, support disaster response, strengthen camps and retreat ministries, educate future leaders, care for clergy and congregations, and share the love of Christ both locally and around the world.

Jesus invited us to look beyond outward appearances and consider what is happening within our hearts. Our words have the power to encourage or discourage, to heal or to wound, to build bridges or deepen divisions.

Following Christ calls us to cultivate hearts shaped by God's love so that our words reflect compassion, truth, and grace.
