THE BOBBY F.GRIFFIN BCPB SPEAKER ENDOWMENT FUND
As a way to recognize Bobby Griffin for his many contributions to the Bristol Community Prayer Breakfast(BCPB), members of the prayer breakfast committee brought up the idea of establishing the Bobby F. Griffin BCPB Speaker Endowment Fund. Based on the past travel and honorarium speaker costs, a goal of $200,000 was set for the endowment fund. To date a total of $91,000 has been received or pledged toward the endowment fund goal. Any contributions to the Bobby F. Griffin BCPB Speaker Endowment Fund would be greatly appreciated and should be made by check made out to the Bristol Community Prayer Breakfast, a 501C3 nonprofit organization as an unincorporated association in the State of Tennessee, marked for the Bobby F. Griffin BCPB Speaker Endowment Fund, and mailed to Bristol Community Prayer Breakfast; 118 Phlox Creek; Bristol, TN 37620.
The investment of the Endowment Funds is of utmost importance considering our fiduciary duties to the funds of the BCPB. The BCPB Committee has appointed an Endowment Fund Subcommittee that is composed of three of our members-John Gregory, Chairman; Tom King; and Pete Holler. It will be the responsibility of this Endowment Fund Subcommittee to manage the investment of the funds and to provide regular reports to the BCPB Committee on the performance of the investment fund. If we have any excess funds from the prayer breakfast after applying all related expenses, these funds will be invested in the Endowment Fund.
The earnings from the Endowment Fund will be used to pay for all or a portion of future BCPB speaker expenses and will serve to enable us to lower the cost of tickets to future prayer breakfast events.
