ry human being. BICC’s mission is to serve the religious needs of all Muslims in the Greater Bridgeport area and ensure their integration in American society. Our goals include, but are not limited to:

- Helping Muslims increase their knowledge and understanding of Islam and offering resources for those who are interested in learning about the Islamic faith.
- Promoting Islamic education for new Muslim generations and creating a constructive Islamic environment for our youth. Providing Islamic social and cultural services to the Muslim community.
- Educating and encouraging members of the Muslim community on ways to integrate in their American community and become active and productive members of the same while maintaining their Islamic identity.
- Assisting Muslims and non-Muslims in the community who are in need of different kinds of support. Supporting and participating in interfaith dialogue among various faith groups.
- Participating in all outreach programs that support the poor and the needy in the Greater Bridgeport area.

بقلوب مؤمنة بقضاء الله وقدره، نتقدم بخالص التعازي وصادق المواساة في وفاة الحاجة فاطمة الزهراني، والدة عذراء زوجة حفيظ أخنوش، التي انتقلت إلى رحمة الله تعالى في المغرب.

نسأل الله تعالى أن يتغمدها بواسع رحمته، وأن يغفر لها، ويرحمها، ويسكنها فسيح جناته، وأن يلهم أهلها وذويها الصبر والسلوان.

إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.

With hearts full of faith in Allah’s decree, we extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy on the passing of Hajja Fatima Al-Zahrani, mother of Adra, wife of Hafid Akhanouch, who passed away in Morocco.

We ask Allah Almighty to shower her with His vast mercy, forgive her, grant her the highest place in Paradise, and give her family and loved ones patience and comfort.

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un
إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

With deep sadness and complete submission to the decree of Allah (SWT), we share the passing of Idham Lubis, the beloved uncle of our brother Budi Lubis, after several weeks of intensive care in the ICU in Indonesia.

We kindly ask you to remember him in your du’as. May Allah (SWT) envelop him in His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings, expand and illuminate his grave, and grant him the highest place in Jannat al-Firdaws.

We also pray that Allah (SWT) grants Brother Budi and his entire family strength, patience (sabr), and comfort during this difficult time, and that He blesses them with peace and steadfastness.

The Quran Academy proudly celebrated the conclusion of the 2025–2026 academic year by recognizing and honoring the achievements of its students.

The Academy administration extends its sincere gratitude to all parents for their unwavering support, dedication, and partnership throughout the year. Their commitment to their children's learning, development, and spiritual growth has been instrumental in their success.

BICC is proud of the remarkable progress our students have made and encourages parents to continue fostering their children’s love of learning while helping them maintain and strengthen the knowledge and skills they have acquired.

We also pray that Allah (SWT) rewards the Academy’s teachers and staff abundantly for their tireless efforts, steadfast commitment, and many years of devoted service. Their dedication has played a vital role in nurturing and guiding our students.

Alhamdulillah, we had a wonderful End-of-Year Celebration today at BICC Weekend School.

Families met with teachers to reflect on a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement, while students enjoyed games, activities, and quality time with friends.

A heartfelt thank you to our families, teachers, and volunteers for their dedication and support in making this year—and today’s celebration—so special.

The father of brother Mohammad Maroof (Abdul Qudoos Afzaly) passed away yesterday in Afghanistan. We ask Allah SWT to forgive all of his sins and to grant him the highest paradise and for all Muslims alike. Condolences will be on Saturday from 7 to 8:30 pm in NHIC (Orange masjid) in section 5.
