I’m thinking about the increasing frequency of violent weather events due to climate change seemingly on the way to climate collapse, and it suddenly struck me how one could describe our society the same way… increasing frequency of violence due to a cultural climate change seemingly on the way to cultural collapse, and I’m thinking that maybe we who are made of the earth are actually so connected to it that we reflect it….
Gracious God, have mercy on your children. Restore us to right relationship with you, with each other, and with the earth. Amen
