Last Sunday’s homily from Fr. Andria reminded us that true leadership in faith is rooted not in power, but in love, sacrifice, and care for others. Reflecting on the words of Apostle Paul, we were called to stay spiritually awake, protect what is good, and serve one another with humility and compassion. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Dear and beloved community in Christ,

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your love, kindness, and support throughout these past five months. My time with you has been a true blessing, a season of joy, spiritual growth, friendship in Christ, and a beautiful sharing of Christian culture and life.

In life, there come moments when we must say “thank you,” moments when we must say “goodbye,” moments when we must say “for now,” and moments when we must say “until we meet again.”

“Until we meet again” is especially a Christian expression, because in Christ separation is never final. I will always keep you in my prayers, and you will always remain in my heart.

I wish all of you abundant joy, peace, and God’s continued blessings. I know how much you are looking forward to the return of Fr. Terry Johnston, and I sincerely pray that the Lord grants him health and abundant grace in his ministry. I also humbly ask you to pray for me and for my spiritual strengthening, which I always need.

I leave you with only a few simple words:

I love you all dearly and goodbye!

This Sunday will also be my final Divine Liturgy with this parish community. After this message, you will no longer receive communications from me, and if you need anything, please reach out to your spiritual father, Fr. Terry.

In Christ,
Fr. Andria

I want to assure you that I will always pray for you. Although it is still too early to speak of farewells, I want you to know that wherever I may be, the bridge between you and me remains. I will always remember you in my prayers for your souls, as a monk.

Blessed Ascension!

Blessed Ascension!

After the 40 days during which we greeted each other with “Christ is Risen!” 🕯️, starting with the Vespers of the Ascension of the Lord this evening, we now say: “Christ has Ascended!”

We will continue this greeting for about 10 days, until the Vespers of Pentecost. 🕊️

Dear Holy Apostles Family,

Christ is Risen!

As my time with you slowly comes to an end, I wanted to share a few words from my heart. I have only about two weeks left with you, three more Sundays including liturgies and May 31 will be my final day here. My time with all of you will always remain a deeply meaningful and unforgettable part of my life and priesthood. I thank each of you, my dear community, for your love, kindness, prayers, patience, and support.

One thing I especially hope we will always remember is this, our spiritual life must remain connected to our intellectual life. One without the other cannot truly bear fruit. Knowledge alone is not enough, and neither are merely practical or mechanical answers to spiritual struggles. The Christian life is not simply about information or mastering ideas, it is about transformation of the heart.

The Holy Fathers remind us that spiritual writings cannot be understood only through the intellect. Modern Christians often read the Fathers while remaining immersed in busy worldly life, and sometimes we unintentionally interpret holy texts through our own imagination rather than through humility and inner struggle. The wisdom of the saints becomes understandable only when we begin to walk, even imperfectly, in the same spiritual path of prayer, obedience, repentance, and purification of the heart.

Without inner spiritual labor, even great theological knowledge can become pride instead of wisdom. The Fathers taught that spiritual life requires patience, gradual growth, humility, and healing of the soul. Our minds themselves must be transformed by grace, not merely filled with information.

This is why the Church calls us not only to learn about Christ intellectually, but to truly live in Him through prayer and communion with one another.

Thank you again for allowing me to walk this journey with you.

Happy Mother’s Day!

When mothers pray, hell trembles; the most dangerous person on earth is a praying mother. Her children become flaming torches in God’s hands.

Christ is Risen, my beloved community,

Life is often busy and filled with many voices, many experiences, and many unexpected moments. At times, we may even wonder, Where is this coming from? Is it from God, from those around us, from our own thoughts and emotions, or from other forces that seek to distract and trouble the heart?
However no matter what difficulty you carry, remember this: our Lord Jesus Christ will always come and sit beside you at the well, just as He did with the Samaritan woman. He speaks gently to the soul that is willing to listen. The important thing is that we open our hearts, hear His voice, and receive His love.
Our souls must be prepared to listen to Christ. Healing begins when we desire healing. Our spiritual vision is restored according to the sincerity of our struggle and openness before God. In time, we become what we truly seek and long for.
I thank the Lord for each of you, for your kindness, your faith, and for the blessing of standing together in prayer as one family in Christ. Thank you for allowing me to walk this spiritual journey with you.
And please endure my long sermons for just three more weeks :))))
