From our dear friend in Israel, Guy Cohen:
Dear beloved congregation,
On this Passover, the festival of freedom and redemption, we remember that not only our ancestors came out of Egypt, but we too are called to come out of bo***ge into freedom, from fear into faith, and from darkness into light.
For it is written,
“The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
And in these days, when the sounds of sirens, missiles, and drones are heard, we hold on to the promise,
“Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” (Psalm 121:4)
Passover reminds us of the power of the blood that saved and redeemed. The blood of the lamb is the fulfillment of redemption, the hope that does not depend on circumstances, but on a living faith.
Even now, in a challenging reality, we stand together in unity, strengthening one another and remembering that,
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
