Good Friday, April 3, 2026 7:00pm, A Tenebrae Service - “Tenebrae”, is a Latin word for “shadows” or “darkness”. The Tenebrae service is a solemn time of Scripture reading and Song. During this year's service we will trace the events of Christ’s passion through the Gospel of Mark. On Good Friday we ponder the cost of our salvation by meditating on the depth of Christ’s suffering, his crucifixion, death and burial.
The service will be held At Dayspring Church in the Oak Park Plaza, 2323 S. Vista Ave. Boise, Id, 83705

From Palm Sunday with Jesus triumphal ride into Jerusalem to Easter and the resurrection a lot did happen. Nearly one third of the gospel accounts (Matthew, Mark, Luke) are devoted to the passion week. The gospels are a passion narrative. Jesus was born to die as a penalty for our sin and be raised for our justification. Thanks be to God!

Romans 10:9-11 "...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

Join us this Christmas Eve for our service of Lessons and Carols at 6:00 pm at Dayspring Reformed Church
2323 S Vista Ave, Boise, Idaho
Come sing and celebrate the birth of Christ. The Christmas Eve service is comprised of Christmas carols and song interspersed through the Christmas Scripture readings. The program follows the pattern of the famous “Festival of Nine Carols and Lessons” adapted from an Order drawn up by E.W. Benson, later Archbishop of Canterbury, for use in the wooden shed, which then served as his cathedral in Truro in Cornwall England, on Christmas Eve 1880.
